RE: New Season Ticket Holders??
This will be my first season doing so. I usually go too 3 or 4 games a year but,now I feel like I have to put my money where my mouth is. We have a AD and Head Coach that is truly committed I need to do the same if I want the program to be at the top.

Re: New Season Ticket Holders??
It's possible. Still working out my employment situation, but if I'm local enough (read within 3 hours) and don't have the previous responsibilities that I've had in the past which required me to work on just about every weekend imaginable, then it's a definite possibility.

Re: New Season Ticket Holders??
I will be buying season tickets in the Blue Zone this year. I've been in the Rams Club for awhile, but haven't bought season tickets in 5 years. Program excitement + no longer traveling for work + my daughter being old enough are all factors. Go Heels! Congratulations to Coach Fedora, his staff, and all of the new Tar Heel signees! You will never regret your decision on being part of the Tar Heel family!

RE: New Season Ticket Holders??
This will be my 2nd year...hopefully. Last year was my first, get to sit with one of my buddies and his family, and my brother.
I will say this, I enjoyed it, but it was tougher than I thought. I went to every game but the Elon game. I live 3 hours away, it was pretty much an 11-12 hour day, with travel and game. It is costly, factor in ticket, gas, and food.
But that being said, I did enjoy the games for the most part, from the rain against Idaho to the excitement of the State game.

I too live about 3 hours away. It is tough, no doubt, but there's nothing like watching the HEELS live and in person.......PLUS, it's only going to get better for years to come!!

RE: New Season Ticket Holders??
I will not be able to get season tickets this year for the first time in the last 3 years, before that I just always bought tickets for each game as they came or got a ticket from my uncle. I hope to attend as many games as possible this year, but Next year I will be back on the season ticket wagon. I will stay on as a ramsclub member though.

I joined the Ram's Club last year and bought the mini-season pack. This will be my first full season package.

I see they are now offering "end zone" packages... i.e., highest rows of the outermost upper deck sections. Those are only $210 as opposed to $315. Not a bad deal...esp for new ticket buyers and/or non-RC members.

That's a great deal. I see nothing wrong with those seats...better than those first five row discounts.

Re: New Season Ticket Holders??
I should hear in two or three weeks if I get a significant promotion. It will require a 4 hour move, but we will still be about 7 hours from Chapel Hill. I told my 8 year old son that we would purchase season tickets as a trade off for moving, so I hope to add my name to this list soon.

My brother decided to not get season tickets this year, due to the poor schedule. As well as his wife's family is from Alabama and he will be traveling to two big SEC games this year.

TheDonald, I understand what you mean about the somewhat underwhelming home schedule. However, I will be keeping my tix for the season, but I'll only make it to 1 or 2 home games tops. My definites for this season are SC, Miami and Pittsburgh. I've grown a little tired of ECU and the other homes this year don't excite me much. If I make it home for Thanksgiving, then I'd would check out the Duke game but that's it. The away games interest me more than some of the homes. I won't be going to another State away game for some time for concern of being engaged by some of their fans and not being able to turn the other cheek.
I should add that any home games I do not attend, the seats still go to Tarheels.

Re: New Season Ticket Holders??
I was a first time buyer last year and may not renew this year. The renewal form is laying on my desk and I look at it every day. I love UNC football, and the atmosphere for the "big" games is electric (I was there this past year for iNCeST, I was there for ND, I was there for FSU on Thursday night), but the Elon/Idaho match-ups last year were **** poor glorified exhibitions. $1000 for three tix is a bit much for only, really, three or four "good" games.
Talk me off the fence folks, make me buy the tix. Convince me.

Ummm.....supporting the Football team? What more convincing do you need? Our guys deserve support regardless who they're playing. No win is easy. We have a solid chance to win the Coastal this year. Everybody that can be there should be there.

Re: New Season Ticket Holders??
We are trying to change the culture here at UNC. We have been yearning for a coach to come in and do this for a LONG time and coach Fedora is the man. Not only do the players DESERVE for us to be in the stands, it also sends a message to Coach Fedora that the work he has done/is doing is paying off and that we support him and his staff!!! We need to do EVERYTHING we possibly can to show the coaches and players WE CARE about UNC football.

Re: New Season Ticket Holders??
I can't argue with that. I feel the same way. I was a season ticket holder for a decade (Mack Brown years). Ever since the Torbush experiment, one can buy tickets outside the gate for $10/each. The noon games against 1-AA competition in 95 degree heat.... I'll just let those young, energetic, rabid, dedicated, devout, stand-up-the-whole-game "fans" hold down the fort for me. HD t.v. makes this a no-brainer.

Re: New Season Ticket Holders??
They have altered the visitor seating again for this year. I actually like it better, still have visitors on home side in sec 131 but none in upper deck on home side anymore, those seats are for season ticket holders for new End Zone seat packages. They just added another half section on visitor side on section 102. catalog.e-digitaleditions.com/...hq_v=6d6046049d

Re: New Season Ticket Holders??
It is sad. It's absolutely pathetic. Somebody needs to NOT take me for granted as a fan and schedule games that are on a legitimate Div. 1, FBS level. Paying top dollar for chump games is unacceptable. The only avenue for change is to hit them in the pocketbook. I'll get season tickets again when the experience warrants it.

Re: New Season Ticket Holders??
Trueblue, I see your point. Well, hopefully Coach Fedora will continue putting a competitive football team on the field, which will entice "the powers that be" to schedule more "favorable" matchups. Maybe we can still fill up Kenan this year to show those "powers that be" that we are serious about football and maybe that will encourage them to schedule more attractive teams.

Well I will be there, but my bro doesn't make as much money, and the home schedule I think for him was the thing that tipped it into the no buy category. I hate, HATE playing ECU. Boring!

I had tickets for over 25 years and decided to stop buying. Never got a call from UNC asking why. They just don't care so neither do I.

Yep... we have a relatively small upper deck, so it's not like sitting up in the clouds at Clemson, Tennessee and other stadiums like those. Personally, I prefer the view from the upper deck vs the lower deck anyway.
