Re: LOI #4 - Mitch Trubisky

After watching a lot of his film, this recruit is the one I'm probably the most excited for long term. I'm sure they would like to red-shirt him on Renner's senior year but it may not be an option. Especially depending on what happens with Williams.

Anybody know why ESPN lists him as "QB-DT"? Did Mitch actually line up at defensive tackle in high school?

He also punted for a 40 yd. average, but I seriously doubt he will be a Punter while on the Hill!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks - makes a lot more sense. Nice to see that dSPN is making that determination... gotta wonder how/where they draw the line

RE: LOI #4 - Mitch Trubisky

A lot of people who follow Ohio High school football on our insiders board think he is the best in Ohio and probably the Midwest. From what I have read this kid is the real deal. Future star.

Try him at punter. Remember Choo Choo! Make him a "QB - TT"!

I' am from Ohio. I have seen Mitch play a lot. You guys are getting a great one. I don't care where he is ranked he is a monster on the field. Plays against great competition, and has monster games with 500+ total yards. Look at this video it's a playoff game vs an Ohio power.

All we have to do is win and we can get some of that talent out of Ohio.

Re: LOI #4 - Mitch Trubisky

For this upcoming year.. I think the staff would love to redshirt Trubisky and have RS Freshman Coker be the back up to Renner (depending on Williams status)..

2014 QB battle could be a good one!

If you've seen any video of Kanler Coker, he was a heck of a player at Flowery Branch, Georgia, too.

I am thinking Renner will have a great senior season, and, the 2014 QB battle with Coker, Trubisky, and, Williams will be beyond fierce.

That was an incredible game. And, Trubisky? What a leader. Great QBs can will their teams forward. He definitely did that in this video. I can't wait to see him in BKS.

RE: LOI #4 - Mitch Trubisky

There's a cool movie my wife found at Redbox called Touchback about a dual threat QB from Ohio. I thought of Trubisky as soon as I began to watch. Yes, it's sappy, vaguely reminiscent of Hoosiers, but a good flick.

Trubisky will be a good one for us!

You don't have to have crowds the size of Mentor-St Ignatius to have a great atmosphere.

I live here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and would like to add that Trubisky had a committable offer from Nick Saban and Alabama. That is all you need to know about this guy in terms of athleticism and leadership ability.

Re: LOI #4 - Mitch Trubisky

Agree.A talent like his doesn't come along often.Doesn't need to sit on the bench for a year backing up Renner, when he can learn and develop with a redshirt season.Glad to have him, that's for sure.

Re: LOI #4 - Mitch Trubisky

The competition between Coker and Tribusky should be rather compelling viewing if one goes by video clips,

m.youtube.com/#/results?q=kanl...er%20highlights

And that doesn't even factor in the competition between Pressley and Kanler, if again, one goes by video clips

as an ohio state fan i wanted mitch badddd. but im glad you guys got him. north carolina has become a second favorite team of mine after the buckeyes. mitch could come in and play right away, yes with some kinks and freshman mistakes, but he is legit and will take over the acc in the next few years. kid is a MONUMENTAL get for you guys. good luck! go heels go bucks!
