I'm not gonna lie. I'd like to see them wear the black and white ones. And I'd be pretty pumped about the white and blue.

I like the top ones a lot but I still think the heel, especially the size of it looks like something you would buy from Walmart.

I like the idea of tie-in with the hoops unis. The execution...not my fave, but it is clearly a work in progress.

That blue design on the chrome helmet would look good. IMO

if something like this comes to fruition....im on board....and fedora will be the first coach to actually embrace the basketball team and use it as a recruiting tool...not just say that as lip service....fedora isnt afraid of the history of the basketball team!

I think it would be neat to incorporate the argyle into the painting in the end zone.

RE: Ebron's helmet doodles
Eh, I don't think so. I've recently become a big fan of extreme simplification. For example, black and white. And I don't believe we will see those helmets on the field, ever. But I read that Fedora couldn't order uniforms last year, guess he got hired after the deadline or something. But, he should be able to order the unis this year, and I can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve.

RE: Ebron's helmet doodles
Nobody cares what the fans think. It's all about making a lasting impression on recruits. And if they like the new helmets and uniforms, that's all that matters.

I'm not impressed with either design. I own one of the chrome helmets and they are awesome. I wish they would be incorporated into next year for more than just 2 games.

I didn't care for this version of "tar" until I realized that it was a stylized Star of David. And since we are the sheep of His pasture (Rameses) and these sheep are surrounded by wolves and devils, I kinda like it.

It SHOULD be in the endzone. Absolutely. It's better there than on the uniforms... but I'll take what I can get.

The brand should be the university and the athletic department as a whole, not any individual program. This goes both ways. On the Tar Pit, people talk about basketball firsters, but there are plenty with allegiance to the football program who likewise want to distance themselves from basketball. The argyle is great. I love it, and I'd love it on the football field. Absolutely.

agreed on it being a UNC trademark not a basketball one. Argyle endzones would be unique.

OMG, Breschi has impinged on a BASKETBALL trademark! ;-) I think the silver helmets in the moo_u game got it going. You've got to tip your hat to a real topper like Fedora for knocking the lid off a stodgy old headset about headgear.

^ Absolutely. As for the argyle, I just can't see Larry Fedora asking Alexander Julian to design our 2013 football uniforms. Sheesh.

Hate to force argyle on the field crew. Would love to see Carolina blue endzones with white diamonds though. Evokes argyle while being a throw back at the same time.
