Re: Why Deke Adams left...his own words

After reading that, I don't know that it really said why he left North Carolina. I mean if he uprooted his family and disregarded any loyalty he had to Coach Fedora so that he could coach Clowney for 1 season, then that tells me a lot right there. Good luck to him, but I have all the faith in the world in Coach Fedora. We'll be just fine.

Money or he felt he was behind too many folks at UNC for eventual DC role and being Clowneys DL coach o a Spurrier SEC staff might get him a DC job at some lower level school quicker than staying here.

He knows some guys there. Wants to coach Clowney, but actually disregarded the idea of moving just to coach in the SEC. Eh, good luck.

I wonder if this affects Dejuan Drennon. That would be the real loss

Re: Why Deke Adams left...his own words

I imagine Fedora is out personally doing damage control on existing recruits. I think that'll be fine.

Plus I read somewhere else that Adams said he wouldn't recruit players already committed to UNC....of course that doesn't mean that somebody else from SC wouldn't...

Didn't mean only SC. I'm sure his earlier finalists will put the press on. Mich st. and WVU I believe

I dont know how Webb and Drennon feel but if the coach that was pose to be my position coach just sed he would rather coach a kid for 1yr than to coach me for 4 yrs and i guess he didnt feel webb and drennon was clowney type players. It wouldnt affect me to badd.

Re: Why Deke Adams left...his own words

Bodine, Landon, Hurst, we need some pancakes from ya' on Labor Day weekend. Big holes for AJ and Romar. Keep Clowney and crew occupied so Logan and Switzer can blitz by 'em on the fly sweep. Keep Bryn clean so we can go over the top on their smallish secondary.

I guess, I'm saying, victory is revenge.

That sucks, Deke.

But good luck to you anyway, except next August.

No, They are down to their final two or three final schollies, and wouldn't have room anyway as they expect a couple more to commit this week.

I've heard that Mich. St. is putting on the hard press and that they are being listened to

I wouldn't know Deke Adams from John Adams. There are plenty of guys out there that can coach the D-line. If he doesn't want to be here, we are better off without him.

*Does anyone know if itty bitty carolina got permission to talk with this guy?

Do you need permission to talk to third tier coaches(ie, not HC, DC, or OC)?

RE: Why Deke Adams left...his own words

More Money? SEC? That I can buy. Coach Clowney? Total BS. Oh I want to coach QBs in Denver so I can Coach Peyton Manning. Oh I want to coach DBs in Green Bay so I can coach Charles Woodson. Oh I want to coach LBs in Baltimore so I can coach Ray Lewis. Oh wait! He retired. Don't want that job then.

Good riddance. Go give up 68 in SC.

Based on what our defense looked like last year, I'm not shedding tears for any defensive coaches that decide to leave.

best of luck? Sorry but I dont agree. I dont agree with a coach leaving to go somewhere else to be able to coach 1 player. Sorry but that is down right dumb.
