ACC Players (NFL)

ACC Players (NFL)

I don't know all the ACC players in the NFL but the few that made a huge difference yesterday were from the ACC. I am not suggesting that the ACC players are more superior than other conferences but the ACC does produce great talent that can perform at a very high level. I am suggesting that we don't have to join another conference to produce elite talent though.

There was Ray Lewis, Frank Gore, Ed Reed (Hurricanes), Matt Ryan (BC Eagles), Vernon Davis (Cavaliers).... Can you name any more?

Isn't Vernon Davis a terp? Torrey Smith is too. Anquan Boldin from FSU comes to mind.

None of the players from UM were ACC players. Matt Ryan was recruited prior to BC becoming an ACC team. Lots of SEC on the field yesterday though. Just sayin'.

I believe Matt Ryan played 3 years in the ACC so that should count. Shouldn't matter if he got recruited before BC joined. Heck, he was even ACC player of the year.

Absolutely it does count and the players that were making the big plays or got the most media attention were from the ACC. Frank Gore 2 touchdowns. Ray Lewis retirement tour and Matt Ryan blazing 1st half.

Re: ACC Players (NFL)

Frank Gore, Ray Lewis, nor Ed Reed ever played a down of ACC football. That's like saying Lee Corso or Burt Reynolds is an ACC product.

Frank Gore was on the team that lost to UNC in 2004. He had 8 carries for 27 yards, but you are correct on the other Miami players.

They were these two guys that came out of the ACC...

One was famous for a movie about smoking and stealing.

The other was stranded on an island with this dude named Friday.

Mostly though, they were from the ACC. Just like Ray Lewis.

It was something like that.
