After what George Shinn and the Woolard guy did to Charlotte with the Hornets, it'll be a long time before they embrace another pro team in that same fashion. The Hornets @ The Hive was a GREAT environment.

The Bobcats will never get that kind of adoration in Charlotte.

Gotcha a ticket sold isn't really a ticket sold if the ticket sold was only sold because the PSL owner had to buy them.

My whole point is by buying the tickets or PSL's in the first place they are showing support of the panthers.I guarentee franchises like Tampa, San Diego or Jacksonville would love this kind of support. Those cities don't show up or buy tickets

They also don't have PSL's.

Games would be played at Clemson just like the first year they were in the NFL.
They won't ever play in a college stadium in the Carolina's again so it's a pointless thread.

It was more of a what if situation. It's the offseason. There have been worse threads on here this offseason.

They weren't allowed to use Williams Brice in 1995. That's why the Panthers played their home games the first year at Clemson. What makes you think circumstances would change now?

South Carolina's AD at the time refused Jerry Richardson's request for the Panthers' first season because he didn't want to do anything to advance the popularity of professional football in the Carolinas (despite the fact that it was already a fait accompli). Clemson, meanwhile, welcomed the team; and it ended up creating a loyal base of fans in Upstate South Carolina. Many of them still drive up for home games.

The upgrades won't force the Panthers to play anywhere else for any time. They are putting in better video boards, heating ducts, and escalators to the upper level.
