I know this is random, but the city council in Charlotte just passes a $125 million dollar bill for upgrades to BOA. Plus, good ole JR is putting up another 125 with his investors. I was just wondering how you guys would feel if the Panthers played at UNC? Especially since NC is a transplant state with a bunch of northerners liking other teams and such.

I wouldn't go watch the panthers play if it was free. Unless they were playing the cowboys

The Panthers would use SCar's stadium id they had to play away from BOA stadium. Kenan and Carter Finely are too small.

Oh, so liking the Cowboys in the 90s when they are winning gives people a slide? Isn't that called bandwagoning? I'm sorry, that's what I thought.

I get what you are saying. But, the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Thrill area could potentially bring more fans than say Columbia, SC. Plus, it would help to gain more fans in the eastern part of the state.

RE: Would you guys go see the Carolina Panthers play at Kennan?
Charlotte is 3 hours closer to me. I have attended two games BOA in 3 seasons, both agains Tampa. Both miserable sufferfests on the 500 level. First one in bitter cold, second in record heat. Both games horribly boring from a fan standpoint of the game and from a community standpoint in the stands.
I have friends who are Ravens, Steelers and Eagles die hard fans who go to see their teams at BOA. They hate it because the Panthers fans are boring and quiet. If the Panthers want to be relevant, they should strictly draft SEC players from now on out, so MAYBE we get some die hard football fans in the stands. ;-)

I dont think our secondary could handle their receivers... we have enough trouble with college receivers.

The city of Chapel Hill hates football Saturday. What in hell makes you think they will embrace the Panthers in Kenan? Say what you want about Scar, but they and the city of Columbia would embrace the Panthers during renos.

It would help the OOC SOS, I guess. Would it be part of the season ticket package?

Re: Would you guys go see the Carolina Panthers play at Kennan?
I'd do it so long as the prices were college level prices. NFL tix are just too expensive.
What I would NEVER do is attend a Bobcats game. Not if free. Not if they paid me. NEVER, so long as current management, ownership and Henderthug are there. They had a chance to pick TH and they didn't. That's ok, based on their needs but to follow that up with the Henderthug pick? Dead to me forever. I pull against them all they time.

Just like cowboy fanzz. Always hanging around where they're not wanted. Being loud as hell trying to compensate for not being liked by anyone except fellow cowbell fanzz.
Kinda like dookers
And even worse.... Aggies

RE: Would you guys go see the Carolina Panthers play at Kennan?
There is quite a difference between cheering for the Cowboys in the mid-90s while they were winning super bowls and cheering for them now. They haven't been hugely successful since that time, and, continuing with that loyalty, does not a bandwagon fan make. Had someone made a statement about loving the Cowboys in the mid-90s, it would seem more suspicious. But, looking at the Cowboys of late, an argument can hardly be made for a bandwagoner. Go Cowboys!

Where is this "Kennan" you are referring? If it is Kenan Stadium on campus then yes I would go.

I can see why so many people feel after JR dies the new owner might move the team to LA. Hell, the people that live in this state don't even support the Panthers!

Definition of butt hurt right there. What's wrong with their management? Michael finally realised he doesn't need to be making basketball decisions, and has turned it over to people who are qualified to do so. And ad far as picking Henderson over Hansbrough, Henderson has been the better player so far. It pains me to say it, but they made the right choice there.

That's true. But at the same time, if Shabazz or Wiggins are available dont think for a second Henderson wont be replaced. --------------------------------------------- --- redhotchiliheel wrote:

103 straight sellouts Then again the 2 times in history of the franchise that they didn't sellout has to be a concern of lack of support by the community.

Exactly. I've been a fan for 40+ years. Whether its 1-15, SB Champs, or, crash & burn like they've done since Jethro fired Jimmy Johnson. I am always a Cowboy fan.
Living in ENC, redskin fans here are just as wishy-washy as the Cowboy fans they like to criticise.

Re: Would you guys go see the Carolina Panthers play at Kennan?
sounds as if the butt hurt and bias is yours alone.
TH has averaged 9.9 ppg over his career with a team that's been to the playoffs 2 of 3 years.
GH has averaged 9.6 ppg over his career including the worst team in NBA history. No playoffs at all.
TH averages more rpg that GH.
TH has never been sent to the D-League. Ask GH about his Fayetteville days.
Both have been injured a bunch and both have had forgettable NBA careers to date but at the end of the day TH was a good guy. GH was and remains a punk. Even his own teammates and Dook and Charlotte don't like him. TH would have been good for Charlotte. No one cares about GH. I can go to any home game and sit in rows 5-17 for $20 bucks. Everyone hates the product.
