Front page of the paper here and all over TV. Hawaii's football team is so bad the only thing to report on is local kids doing well at other schools.
Still not clear whether he did this to embellish his image or if he was punked by one of the Tuiasasopo cousins. Maybe he should go on Oprah.

Too many holes in the story. Most glaring ones that immediately come to mind:
1) He has alluded to meeting her in person before and his dad has said it directly several times.
2) He never met her in several years of normal "dating"?
3) He never went to go see "the love of his life" when she was dying?
4) He didn't go to her funeral?
5) Modern college kids never tried to Skype? EVER?

The N&O just released a statement saying the person behind the Manti Te'o scam, was indeed not just one person. It was the entire UNC Football Department.

the worst is that twitter pic that Mantits Te'o sent out with the two rays of light shining down on him during the game and he implies that it is his 2 guardian angels watching over him from heaven. nothing worse than faking something that many many people take very seriously.

Maybe I am just getting too old to fathom these type of things, but how the heck does someone have a girlfriend and then never actually meet her in person? When I was growing up, that was a freaking pen pal!

You're not asking me, but my theory is he is gay. The imaginary girlfriend was his way of explaining why he did not date during his years at ND.Perhaps keeping up the ruse became too stressful so he killed his imaginary girlfriend.
And no, I have absolutely no evidence to support my theory other than pure speculation.
