rev, you laugh, but 4th in a 12 team ACC is 33rd percentile which is just as good as 3rd in a 9 team ACC. And IIRC, the parade* that UNC fans always reference to rightly give State grief for having was in 2001 or 2002--for finishing 3rd in the 9 team ACC.
* preferably referred to as "outdoor mobile event" by Fack fans
