moral dilemma
What would you do if one of your beloved children, brought home a dookie or a wuffie, and declared that they were going to marry "it". What would your reaction be? What steps would you take to prevent the tainting of your bloodline? P.s. if this has already happened to you, and its too painful to talk about, I understand.

Well with dook, It would create a little bit of nausea, but I would see it of at least a peer. With moo u it would be a full force retching :-)
joking of course for those who don't appreciate the humor

That's what I like about you man. For all I know, you spend your free time stuffing kittens into a food processor. But your hatred for wuffies and dookies knows no limits. And to me that makes you a pretty decent dude.

Young kittens are like veal: tender, mild-flavored, not gamy at all. Tastes like chicken.

Re: moral dilemma
Nothing humorous about it! This could happen to any of us. And after you get done retching, I would recommend forcing her to read a pamphlet on cross species sexually transmitted diseases between humans and livestock. If that doesn't change her mind then have her committed. --------------------------------------------- --- HeelGrad85 wrote:

Hey now. Don't look at it like that. Look at it like this. As a parent, its your job to do what's best for your child. We all know that allowing tour child to marry a wuffie is not in his/her best interest. And God forbid, what if they decide to procreate? Think of your grandchildren man!

Re: moral dilemma
Fedora would say - you grab it by the throat, look it in the eye, and strangle it.
I'd say, it takes a village. So how's your family, can you switch it, quell it, stifle it from it's root's?
And how is their village... are they from a family of rabid rubes or all in New Jersey? Example - will the wedding be in hoboken, with someone like Snookie in your ear the whole nite...

My God, I did not even consider that. What if one of coach Fedora's kids brought home a wuffie? I shudder when I think of that. That's one wuffie even I would feel sorry for.

Re: moral dilemma
Well, I married an NCS undergrad who later received her graduate degree from Wake. Guess which school she tells people she attended. Hint, it isn't the agdogs. I remember one of the headhunters that contacted her years and years ago telling her that Wake looked much better on a resume than NCS. LOL!
Luckily for me, she despises the agdogs even more than I do.

My nephew is a 2007 NCS grad. He can't stand the place either and hasn't been back since he graduated. He was turned down by VPI so he opted for NCS. Overall, he's done failry well since he graduated.

My son graduated from that Rawlee school in a major UNC didn't offer. Went on for a Masters from GT. But he had the good sense to marry a UNC girl, so all is not lost.

Re: moral dilemma
Sister went to Clemson. Her long-time beau is a State grad. They deserve each other if you ask me.
I try not to hold it against him too much, and every time I talk about Chapel Hill it takes him a full minute to calm the rage within, but we keep it civil.

RE: moral dilemma
I would try to keep a positive attitude.
If my daughter married a dookie, chances are she would be marrying an intelligent fellow who could support her in the manner to which she has been accustomed.
If she married a wuffie, chances are I could get a good deal on a used car or a double wide.

Re: moral dilemma
Oh, I can top all that. I have 3 kids (well they're grown now, youngest is 23) who were raised Tar Heels and were Carolina blue through and through. And all 3 went to NCSU. Which means I spent probably around $150,000 to send all 3 there. Those were not fun checks to write; in fact, I made my wife write them. My 2 sons got degrees they could not get @ Carolina, and they are doing fine. My daughter wanted to go to Carolina badly. She had the resume, or so we thought. A girl in her class ranked one spot ahead of her (and w/o a father as an alum) with the exact same resume got in and my daughter never did, even through the wait list. I actually have not sent any $$$ to Carolina since then. Maybe they only take so many kids from a given high school and my daughter was 1 behind the cut off. She also did well @ NCSU and since.

Re: moral dilemma
If either of my sons decide to pursue something in the engineering field, I will encourage them to apply to GT or VPI. If they were unable to gain admittance there, then and only then, would I allow them to consider NCS. Yes, I know the instate versus out of state costs will be significantly higher but I will do my level best to do whatever it takes to keep them away from anything agdog as long as I'm able.

As much as I'd hate it, I'd have to accept "it" into the family. However, if "it" was a descendant of ratface or certain other particularly loathsome dookies such as Laettner, Hurley, etc., I think I'd have to do the honorable thing and commit suicide.
