Encouraging Article on the ACC's Future

With all the positing about the demise of the ACC, here is a different view that says things may not be as dire as we all may have thought.

Winning cures everything so things could turn around if we get more of that sweet medicine in the coming years.

Or this positive bowl record could just be a momentary blip on the path to irrelevance. Anyway, its an enjoyable summary article...

RE: Encouraging Article on the ACC's Future

My problem is that I don't identify with any of the new teams in the conference or any potential entrants. I just don't think I can really care about the league any more. I'll just pull for the Heels.

I disagree with the author's premise, "ACC football results don't match league's talent"! Sure, we have excellent talent in the ACC that moves forward with productive careers in the NFL; however, the ACC does NOT have the "depth of talent" across all teams in comparison to our SEC big brothers. For instance, Alabama's success gives the appearance that they select all of their recruits first, then, hands the rest over to their SEC brethen as seconds; then, the remaining NCAA teams begin their recruiting process.

It's no different than when UNC Basketball was superior! UNC "cherry-picked" the McDonald's All-Americans, then, pass the plate on to the remaining NCAA teams.

It's really simple....."winning breeds success"!
