Russell Wilson reminds me of Doug Flutie

I wish Doug Flutie were young enough to play football in this era. Now that coaches have stop being so lazy and starting to design offenses to take advantage of the talent they have. Doug would be mega-star in the spread offense.

Doug won games in Buffalo but the owner liked Rob Johnson because he was more traditional and the coach was forced to start Rob over Doug. It was a shame.

I think he's better than the Fluter.

I've heard people compare Wilson to Joe Montana. He has that feel for the game the same way Montana did.

I so want Sports Store to come down here to the ATL and spank the Falcons. The entire franchise will flip out.

Against the Skins he had several drops and near misses, and his misses where long and not a risk. He's mostly stopped scrambling then trying to throw late in the middle of the field, which was a problem. Plus he throws the prettiest ball since Warren Moon.

Without the one pass against Miami, Flutie is a short waiter at the local lobster house.

Doug didn't pass the eye test but he got results on the field.

I read somewhere that Flutie ran a 4.4 40 at 40 years old.

I don't care what else he does. He beat the skins, and, thats all that matters.

I told someone the other day that he reminded me of Flutie too.

Re: Russell Wilson reminds me of Doug Flutie

RW's already better than Flutie dreamed of being. He started in the NFL his first year out and won his first playoff game on the road as a rookie. He did to the Skins what he did to us over and over.

Make no mistake, Flutie couldn't do what Wilson's doing. The offenses aren't that much different. Flutie simply didn't play with the same poise nor had the same vision; and he couldn't make the same throws.... IMHO. There is not comparison as far as I'm concerned.

RW's a tremendous talent and I'm a big fan!

Watching RW yesterday reminded me of the suffering and pain he caused our Heels. His ability to extend plays was and is uncanny and he rarely threw and throws interceptions.

Yes, he reminds me of Montana in his great feel for the game. Montana was three inches taller though.
