Is this the same guy that played for State and beat us three years in a row?

Re: Former Wisconsin QB Wilson Leads Seahawks to 2nd Round

I always thought Wilson was special. It always seemed like he was able to beat UNC simply because of his skills at playing QB. I thought he would take the starting job in Seattle eventually but never thought it would be in his rookie year.

He wanted to be a Heel, bad. BD and the staff snubbed him. He took it out on us every chance he had. We got what we deserved.

Glad he's gone and that he screwed the wuffies to do it.

So glad TOBy did what he did when he did what he did.

I find myself cheering for Russel Wilson more and more with each passing week, and it is fun!

*** was Bunting thinking - He took a little Dookie over that, and then had the nerve to say the RW was the best HS QB they ever had in camp!?!?!

Thought it was Bunting's staff who skipped on him? If I recall, Bunting was super impressed with him in camp, but wouldn't offer due to not wanting to scare off Mike Paulus.

You might be right. Either way, we missed on him bad and he took it out on us, repetitively.

wrong, JB and his staff held out his ship for Paulas, who ended up going to Bill & Mary.

Sounds way too familiar. Bobby Hurley and Jay Williams wanted to be Tar Heels as well.

The man is a player. Watching him running down the field to block is crazy bad ***.

Re: Former Wisconsin QB Wilson Leads Seahawks to 2nd Round

Let's be clear on this: The Paulus camp made it clear that if JB brought in another QB the Mighty Mike would go elsewhere. That right there should've been warning bells.

But JB being JB, he didn't hear them.

Re: Former Wisconsin QB Wilson Leads Seahawks to 2nd Round

correct as i heard it.
paulus was ranked higher than wilson as well.
wilson may have gone to state anyway but supposedly carolina was his leader going into his senior year. va tech second. state 3rd.

Re: Former Wisconsin QB Wilson Leads Seahawks to 2nd Round

This whole recruitment happened will Bunting was the coach and Butch continued with the same line of thinking. The first recruit that came out and said that the coaching change made no difference to him was Mike Paulus. In some ways, he was Butch's first recruiting success story. A big factor in holding that recruiting class together and actually adding more top recruits was Paulus. In the end, his talent was overrated and he was a bust. But JB nor Butch can be faulted for offering the scholarship to a MORE HIGHLY RATED player than Wilson. Wilson has a history of exceeding everyone's expectations at EVERY level. Yeah, we coulda had Johnny Dawkins but Dean decided on Curtis Hunter.
