Re: Johnny Football
That has nothing to do with talent on your favorite pro team. Smh. --------------------------------------------- --- raefordfan wrote:

If you're a Texas fan who do you cheer for in this game?

You cheer for the ground to open and swallow up the teams from both Mobilhoma and Collie Station.
So says my cousin in Austin...LOL.

With Renner, Coker and Tribusky I wonder if they suggest an AJ Blue type move to Marquis. He's quite the runner and not such a good passer.

Uh, no.
MW threw for 3000 YARDS as a HS SR, 7500 in 3 yrs. AJ RAN for 2200 yrs as a SR, threw for 1700.
Totally different guys.
Let's let MW have a 2nd year in the offense before we declare him a lost cause, shall we?
Every time I hear guys pumping this or that recruit as the next, sure-fire can't miss HOFer I think, "Mike Paulus."
---------------------------------------------
Did Mike Paulus ever really get a fair chance to show what he could do as a QB here? I don't think that he did. JMHO...

Marquise and Kanler Coker will have A LOT to say about that.

My cousin has lived there for close to 20 years, and, has taken to the UT culture.
Carolina is still No 1 to her, but, says UT is definitely 1A...LOL.

RE: Johnny Football
Actually I hope he is, no knock on Kanler and Marquise but he is probably as good as advertised if he does. --------------------------------------------- --- WesternStormer wrote:

Yes. My pro team has nothing to do with my college teams. I like Russell Wilson even though I hate NC State. I liked Grant Hill even though I hate Dook! Not duke. It's DOOK! --------------------------------------------- --- raefordfan wrote:

I can't pull for this kid as long as he has such a stupid nickname. He belongs at Notre Dame with a nickname like that.

he didn't give himself that nickname. he said some kids around campus started it and it stuck. at least that's what he said in an interview i saw.

You would be incredibly wrong, good sir. I'm a Panthers fan since 1995. Terrible guess and a hurtful gesture might I add. --------------------------------------------- --- Dan77 wrote:

I see that you are presumably an older gentlemen. Probably a Redskins fan. So, I could see why you despise Cam Newton. I bet you think Injury Prone the 3rd is the best QB of all time don't you?
-------------------------------------------------- -----------------
Never pulled for the Redskins except for the Chris Hanburger days. You probably don't have a clue who that was. And if we are going to play "presumlies" by your user name I presume you are a Saints fan.

Yes! --------------------------------------------- --- ghettofied wrote:
What? REALLY? You serious? You're kidding right? Cam Newton had arguably the best college football season of all time. Manziel is good but no. Just no. Cam Newton is a freak. Manziel is a shorter faster version of Tebow. I'll take Cam over Manziel 10 out of 10 times. --------------------------------------------- --- Dan77 wrote:

No sir. He bought a stolen laptop from a guy. Any college student can make that stupid decision without thinking properly.
-------------------------------------------------- -----
You don't throw something out of a window if you are innocent. We all know about the scam Newtons (father, son and uncle). But this thread is not about them, this is about a great college football player playing now.
If I was a HC or AD and could have either at the same point in their career, I would take Johnny Manziel all day long.
