Would be OK with me if all of our remaining recruits for this class were all OL's or DL"s

Gotta have 2 CBs in this class. Getting zero would be awful.

How could any DL be ranked higher than McKenzie

I know some may be faster but overall I don't see it

As various sites update their rankings, he will move to the top, not only of the DT rankings, but of the overall rankings.

Agreed. If one of them is a juco guy, Justin Martin, i would prefer to see the other be a 4 year guy. I think Moseley and Payne will be very good corners in the future, but you can never have too many speedy corners.

Re: Kahlil sways another?

Agree with Amsler.

As weak as our front 7 have been last several seasons, we'd have won more games if we forced other teams to run it 5 yards at a time downfield. Giving up big plays has destroyed UT's program lately.

Butch makes room for at least 2 quality CB candidates, then adds linemen as well.

I think we're as weak at LB. In fact, where are we deep at compared to great programs?

Maybe WR? It's going to take year after year of great recruiting to get great.

Just like everything at ESPN, their football recruiting stuff sucks.

They figured he would wind up at UT so that low-balled him the whole time.

If he had committed to Bama or OSU etc......they would have given him a 7th Star and top 10 overall recruit.

No matter what the stars say, he will be an immediate impact player and that is all that really counts.

This is a strange one indeed.Mckenzie is a 5☆ on scout and a 4 on Rivals.Usually it is the other way around. If these guys had actually seen Mc perform, he could only be a 5.Nobody can block this guy, he knocks most of these ol recruits on their a??. Also Rivals has Preston Williams as 4☆, which is also very hard to justify, since none of the elite cb recruits can cover him. I want Butch to win the ranking title sometime but, I am very happy with the players he is getting, no matter what the recruiting analists think.

We're loaded at both LB and WR. Many will be young in 2014, but we're loaded for the future.

At LB, Bates, Bryant, JRM, Berry, and Weatherd for the core of a fantastic LB corps. And that's not counting Neiko Creamer, whose upside the coaches really like. That's also a VERY fast LB corps. The guys I mentioned will be young in 2014, but in 2015 and 2016, they should be one of the top groups in the SEC, if not the best group.

At WR, we're building one of the best groups in program history. Once Preston Williams arrives to join Malone, North, Pearson, Wharton, etc., that should be one of the top 3 groups in America. Probably #1.

TE looks to be top notch with the young guys we have, plus adding Kyle Oliver.

S looks to be very good with Berry, McDowell, Kelly, and Gaulden

In fact, I'll stop here...we're building top notch units at every position. Sure, they'll be young in 2014, but it's not fair to say we are thin at all those positions going forward. They just need time to arrive and grow. They will. As for the 2015 class, we need 2 more CBs to build depth behind Sutton, Moseley, and Payne. And we need another OT to build depth and groom to start by 2016.

Again, wait for the rankings to be updated after the summer camps. Kahlil will be VERY highly ranked by ALL of the major recruiting services.

If ANYONE can get word to coach, a little sweet talking to one Bryce Love in Wake Forest N.C. ,might consider switching to c.b.  Would be great to have a 4.3 r.b./c.b. in the fold !!!
