Revenge week: NY Giants
So now that we've taken care of two weak AFC East teams in dominating fashion, let's get back to preparing for a game that will be at the tip of everyone's tongue next week.
The NY Giants come to town, as you all know, and that absolute fire that hasn't subsided since the NFCCG is going to be fed with gasoline this week.
That being said, this game already has my nerves sky high and a minute after the Bills stomping, I couldn't even take the time to celebrate too much.
Our team needs to keep pace with the Falcons for homefield, others including that Vikings team for a bye and this Giants team for overall seeding if need be not to mention start staking out a NFC West crown clinching scenario in the coming weeks.
This is a huge game that could propel us forward with a win.
(I also wanted to create a new thread that got away from certain superstitious aspects of trash talking. Sorry 49ERSTITO. I'm also fine if it gets locked because superstitiously it counts for trying. )

Re: Revenge week: NY Giants
I hope Jacobs is back for this one, I would love to see him bust out a goal line TD against his old team.

Re: Revenge week: NY Giants
Hey guys, Giant fan...I come in peace, hopefully will remain that way. Anyway, you guys have to have been waiting for this one since what happened last year, I have to admit, I don't feel too great about this one. Something tells me Manningham and Jacobs both score on us. I have to admit it will hurt, not Jacobs though, I still love that guy, you are lucky to have him!
On another note, I truly enjoyed watching you guys beat up on the pathetic Jets, what made it especially great was Kaepernick showing up Tebow...that had to be planned and it was great. Well, I would wish you good luck, but we know I can't do that, but you guys have a great team so I wish you luck the rest of the year.

The Giants always concern me because they have the two things that can always turn a game: a great pass rush and a dynamic quarterback. I think the 49ers have a good shot, and it's interesting that the teams are playing (at least) three games against each other in two seasons despite not being in the same division. Might be a small rivalry building. Anyway...I hope it's a tight, well-played game and there are no injuries.

A rivalry renewed. This was a great one back in the 80's. There is no doubt in my mind that those(the 80's) were some of the greatest football contests EVER, and we fans were fortunate that our favorite teams were participating. Kudos to you SF fans. Your football organization epitomizes CLASS.
