somebody on ESPN was saying how this doesn't go far enough as many years there could be 8-10 teams in the discussion. i think that's an exageration and while there will always be SOME controversy regarding who the 'final 4' teams should be, i think this eliminates that one or 2 teams being denied a shot at the title.

assuming the panel of people picking the final 4 is a good one, this is a much better setup. now we have to wait 2 years to see how it works in practice.

I hope that they use the BCS as a starting point and modify as necessary.  For example Oregon won the PAC10 last year but Stanford was in front in the BCS.
