Man I'm so happy, I can still remember when Hearst made the cover, he was never the same after breaking his ankle.

We would have won the super bowl that year. That team was incredible.

I'm not convinced about that. I don't think that team's defense would have bottled up Minnesota's offense enough. It's possible, but I'd have favored Minnesota in the NFC Championship Game. That said, I favored the Vikings over Atlanta too.

I do think the 49ers would have beaten Atlanta, though. The game was close and they played the vast majority of the game without Hearst, who was in the midst of a special season to that point.

No, see, that was a big misunderstanding. The fans thought they were at an Oprah taping and were chanting "We want A car"

Oh, I thought you meant the 1998 NFCCG.

Would you rather have Sherman or Culliver? As you know, both were drafted in 2011.
Two of our better players' contacts were extended in the off season and both played for Harbaugh at Stanford.

Sherm is a polarizing baller but Im sure youd like him roaming the left side of your secondary. What was Harbaugh thinking or maybe he lacked power with Baalke.

I'd prefer not to have the Sherman I've seen lately.  Just like when Terrell Owens was a hot mess I called for him to be moved too.  Not a big fan of people who constantly have to run their mouth.  Just play hard ... isn't that enough?

I'll take Culliver.  He'll have an excellent season and won't be the distraction that Sherman has become.  Sherman's fragile ego is obvious making his manic need to be the center of attention foremost for him.  He should have been suspended but his urine sample was "contaminated". This season he'll have Stevie Johnson to contend with and their first meeting ended in a clear victory for Johnson.  Stevie owned Sherman and this is why:

I like Johnson a lot and thought he was a steal heading into the draft. Baalke is great with trades but
I do question his drafting prowess. He will be an outstanding addition to your receiving corp and Kaep
no longer has an excuse for not getting it done and being a top 20 passing yd QB. Yes, even with run focus.
Vernon, Q, Crabs and Johnson are an elite group and arguably the best in the NFL.

Johnson is crafty and Sherman was only in his 2nd year in the NFL. Add in the fact that Sherman only
played CB 1 year in college and Sherm deserves a mulligan. 49er fans seem to forget that and act like Sherm
was a seasoned CB. not the case. He was playing the opposite side but Johnson did a job of spinning him around.

Whether Johnson can do it again remains to be seen but I highly doubt it.

Add on. Speculation but the 9ers would loveSherman in burg and gold. Plus, you highly likely have 2 more Lombardis in the case. Culliver was trash in the SB loss and missed 2013. Sherman in the same draft was better in 2012 when you couldve used him against Q in SB 47.

Then in 2013, we know that you'd have taken us down. Yes, The Holiday Inn express scenario works.

So for all your love for Culliver, Vet, passing on Sherman for Culliver cost you 2 Lombardis. You like Apples?
Aww forget it. Let's keep it to football and I will give you SJ but no way you get Culliver, no way. Sherman is the
best in the biz and a bonafide ballHAWK.

The jpg didn't show, unc, but there really isn't a premise that can support Culliver. Real 9er fans would agree that Sherman wouldve been the difference vs the Ravens as the 9er sec8ndary was torched early by Flacco and right at Culliver.

Can we agree, vet? Would you also agree that swapping Sherman would easily tipped the scales this past season. Heck, you'd likely had homefield through out. If not, you win in Seattle.

So, vet, after really thinking about Culliver getting torched by Flacco and not even playing vs Seattle in 13 are you ready to admit a n obvious eye test that Shermon was the difference in hoisting 6 and 7 and Culliver is still an injury prone ? mark

Heck, I know that you have a dynamite squad but your achilles heel will continue to be your secondary in big games and Kaep's inconsistency vs Seattle, especially in the passing game and corroborated by Steve Young last night.

I'm a big fan of Steve Johnson and he will have a huge impact. Still, you need a burner that can pop the lid off the D and especially move the safety so your possession receivers can hit the seam... I know what i'm talking about vet.

Enjoy your day!

There is no Madden Curse. I've looked into it extensively. The "curse" is for the most part regression to some mean for either their careers or their position in almost every single case. Only Sanders and Culpepper are exceptions, if memory serves.

But instead of a detailed statistical analysis, just use common sense: what has to happen for someone to get on the Madden cover? Essentially they have to have an injury free CAREER year. How often to players have back to back injury free career years? The answer is "almost never." And for the most part that is the origin of the Madden "curse."

Kap: This your locker?
Alex: Y..yes.
Kap: Is THIS your locker?
Alex: ... no.
Kap: Who's locker is it?
Alex: ...yours.

9er fans are praying for a curse continuance. **edited: you've been told repeatedly to find more eloquent and non-demeaning ways of interacting. this is truly your last warning **
