Living here in Dallas it's still surreal not seeing Texas Stadium as I drive by the old lacation.  So many great games and memories of the battles back in the late 80's early 90's.  But hey!!  time to make some new ones for the future right?   biggrin   Go Niner's  2013

I'll miss the 'Stick.  Some of my fondest sports memories took place there, both in football and baseball.

I was there when the place shook during the '89 Series; when Ricky Watters ran for 5 TDs to beat the Giants (and end Lawrence Taylor's career); when Young hit Owens in the endzone to beat the Packers; when John Taylor took a punt 95 yards to the house; when Will Clark singled up the middle against Mitch Williams to send the Giants to the Series; and for Game 1 of the most recent World Series.

I know I'm forgetting some, but those are some of the more memorable moments that I was there for.  Not a bad list considering I probably don't go to nearly as many games as some of you.  Would love to hear some others' Candlestick memories.

That will be a very sad day.  Just off the top of my head, 1987 NLCS, Dave Dravecky's comeback game against the Reds, Barry Bonds' 300th home run, and countless other days and nights going to see the Giants.  I've only been to a handful of 49er games, but I was there for Deion's first game.

Good ones.  I was there for the Dravecky game, too.  Forgot about that one.

fellas, i plan on attending a game this year at The 'Stick. I've never been there and i'm coming in from deep in the heart of South Texas.

these eyes have to see this legendary and historic stadium before they tear it down. :(

With pick No. 36 in the 2011 NFL, the San Francisco 49ers select...Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada

Trust me, make reservations using the 49ers bus to get in and out of the stadium. Traffic is a friggin nightmare. It's cheap, it's dependable, and you wont have to deal with long lines like the buses or taxis.

49ers Experience

It turns a headache into a fun experience.

It'll be sad thinking of how much history will go up in a cloud of dust(maybe they should have Singletary and Raye detonate it...) but that stadium is just not an acceptable venue for an NFL team. I'm so glad they've got a new stadium coming soon...THANK YOU JED YORK!

Stokes. I myself have never been to the Stick. I live in NY, but have been a die hard fan for over 25 years. I am planning my first and sadly only trip to the Stick next season. Let me know when u are heading out and maybe we can meet up. Would be cool to meet up with some of u other cats on these boards next season. Probably gonna be rockin the Tom "Woody" Rathman jersey!!!
