Wild Card Weekend.....

Wild Card Weekend.....

cincy and houston are battling right now. cincy with an early lead after a leon hall pick 6. looks like this could be a real good game though.

of course the game niner fans have most interest in is the later game today- minny at GB. if the pack win (which i believe they will) then we play them next saturday night. apparently joe webb is the likely starting QB for the vikes as ponder has elbow soreness. the vikings have ripped off a bunch of wins in a row but before that there were a lot of people in minnesota calling for webb to take ponder's job. it will be interesting to see how he performs on the big stage if he has to replace ponder tonight.

either way, i see GB winning by 10-14 points. it won't be easy though.

don't care who the 49ers play, i just want them to win it all.

With pick No. 36 in the 2011 NFL, the San Francisco 49ers select...Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada

I care, that SNF beat down in Seattle didn't sit well with me. I want the Vikings to win and I want the Seahawks to win. It would bring me much satisfactions to end Seattle's season January 12th at the Stick.

My two favorite teams are the 49ers and whoever is playing Seattle.

Once Christian Ponder was determined to be inactive, I figured that game was a fait accompli. I had Green Bay as a pretty heavy favorite anyway, since it was in Green Bay, but with Minnesota having their second-string quarterback who hadn't thrown a pass all season...no hope, really.

Yeah, Webb is horrific.  Funnier than that is how they are praising the Pack despite facing a team with only one dimension...Peterson right/Peterson middle/ Peterson left/Peterson screen.  Webb makes Ponder look like a upper level NFL starter.  Bring on the pack, looking forward to lots of pressure on Rodgers all day long.

Well, if the 49ers beat Green Bay, and Seattle beats Washington and Atlanta, you'll get your wish, just on the 19th.

good win by GB but fairly predictable. they are gelling at the right time of year and we have to bring our A game to beat them. we are more than capable and IMO are the better team. but if we let rodgers sit back there and pick us apart, they will put up a lot of points. we need our D to be the nasty, physical, knock-the-snot-out-of-you D they were earlier on. and we need our offense to sustain drives and dominate up front, in the passing and run game.

GB had a little issue with the read option using Webb however dude doesn't have an arm at all.  It will be interesting to see how we look using Kaep this time around and not Alex.

indy-baltimore, seattle-washington. i think these will both be really good, competitive games. interesting to watch ray lewis in likely his last ever playoff HOME game- maybe his last game altogether!

i think the ravens will prevail though. as for seattle and washington.....i have NO clue, seattle has been the league's hottest team but washington has been really hot too. i think the skins have enough offense to get by that great seattle D. their D will have their hands full with a quickly emerging QB in russel wilson.

it's a toss up but i'll take the skins by a FG.

Looks like Seattle's going to Atlanta, barring some late heroics from Rex Grossman

Just finished watching the Seahawks/Redskins game and I've been saying this all season.  There's a few very classless guys on that Seahawk team, I'm not sure if any of you saw what transpired but there was a scuffle between the two teams and one of the Seahawk cornerbacks was pushed in the face.  We all know Golden Tate is a tool and some of the others act as if they just won the Superbowl.

Dean of the Tool Academy is Richard Sherman.  He was the putz at the end getting into with Trent Williams of the skins.

more significantly, RG 3's knee buckled pretty badly on the play that basically was the final nail in the skin's coffin. no idea why he was even still out there as he cost them more than he helped them IMO. now he MAY have suffered a significant injury that could keep him out into next year. (total speculation on my part but it looked fairly ugly)

Appears the NFL did the 49ers a little bit of a favor with the Saturday night divisional game should they win.  Gives them almost a whole days worth headstart on the Seattle/Atlanta winner.  Especially if Seattle wins.

sad to see RG 3 has at least a partially torn ACL and LCL. hope for the skins' sake he can get healthy again quickly but i think he's already messed those ligaments up before. fortunately for them he's a good pocket passer also, but if his running ability is hindered when he does come back, or if they choose not to run him as much, his effectiveness could be affected.

Seattle is the hot pick right now!  RGIII, unfortunate.  I give Shanahan credit for being a players coach.

This Saturday's game against the Packers will be another great one in this playoff rivalry.
Homer prediction: SF 24 to GB 23
No play is too big for Colin Kaepernick!!!
