Career notes:
Steven Jackson (#28) passed Joe Perry (#29) on the career rushing list last week. He has 9,817 yards and has a good shot at hitting 10,000 this season.
Frank Gore (#35) needs 58 yards to pass Jim Taylor (#34) and 75 yards to pass Terry Allen (#33).

Danny Amendola really hurt the 49ers last game. If he plays today (he's dealing with an injury), the 49ers need to figure out how they want to defend the slot receiver, because Carlos Rodgers seems to struggle in man coverage against the slot. In the playoffs, they may well have to face slot receivers like Randall Cobb, Victor Cruz and Wes Welker...much more dangerous players than Amendola (who's a decent player, but less explosive than those guys).

I know I'm supposed to root for whoever plays our division rivals but I find myself wanting the seahawks to beat the bears so we can extend our conference lead.I even picked the bears in the pool but I don't know if my heart is in it!Is that wrong!

I wonder if Baalke's proclivity to select big DBs hurts us when we face quick receivers like Amendola and Victor Cruz. dea49 wrote:

Boy, we're really starting this game out bad with the penalties! Brooks was lucky he wasn't ejected for kicking the ram player!
