Here come the bashers!

Here come the bashers!

Looks like certain media types are taking notice of CK's religious tattoos and are spinning it to be bad for a QB role model.

They don't seem to have any trouble with other positions or players with dreds.

This is another attack by the media on players that might have "better" values than themselves. Reminds me of the attacks on Tebow!

This is a classic example of someone who just doesn't know what they're talking about.  To be perfectly clear I have tattoo's and none of them are visible when I'm at work.  That being said cultural bias has changed so much with regards to what tattoo's are and what they're for.  I think this is one of the worst written articles I've read in a very long time.  Tattoo's like everything else are personal preference and shouldn't be stereotyped by anyone regardless of what they're for.ohlord

That article says a lot more about the writer than it does about Kaepernick.

To the guy who wrote this horrible fluff piece article of non-newsworthy information.  I say "You sir are an idiot!" The only thing he said that was remotely correct was that if CK continues to develop into a dynamic playmaker at the QB position the Niners are positioned in a 4-5 year window given their Hard-nosed run game and Stellar Defense to hoist the Lombardi a few times in the race to be the second to 6x and then first to 7x SB Champs!!

I tell you what the problem is if Baalke and Harbaugh keep striking it rich in the draft, FA and off-season moves with the likes of Aldon Smith, Colin Kaepernick and Mario Manningham. And Franchise tagging Goldson which I strongly advocated on this forum (they better pay the man here soon). Pretty soon I nor any of the so called sports writers will have nothing to left gripe about!!  The coach in me always tries to find something wrong but Harbaugh just keeps getting it right. For those that know me I don't dole out compliments easily but this dude is one hell of an amazing coach!!

Re: Here come the bashers!

Well, if they keep striking it rich, then the problem becomes how to get everyone on the field AND how to pay everyone. Unlike the days of Eddie D, the salary cap makes it harder to just field a stellar B squad waiting for their opportunity. Agents will work to move their clients if they aren't getting opportunities, etc.

I'd rather have an embarrassment of riches, though, than be an embarrassment.

Absolutely. It's much better when the tough decisions are which good players to let go for overall payroll efficiency than for the tough decisions to be which filler to churn through, hoping for an unexpected gem.

Re: Here come the bashers!

Interesting Jerry Richardson asked Cam Newton if he had any tattoos. I wonder if that's a standard interview question with all players, just QB's or just Cam.

I know people like to be PC in the Bay Area but I gotta say I definatly judge people with certain tatoos. It's not all I judge a person on nor does it mean I'm judging someone in a negative light, but its part of the package.

The best response from people I have read is...

"Ironically enough, I heard Kaepernick has a tattoo of Mr. Whitley, located at the center point between his left cheek and his right."

I am not a tatoo guy but if Colin or anybody else wants them, its their body and they can do what they want with it.  I personally think tatoos look like crap on women.

Re: Here come the bashers!

It pains me that this even has to be a topic of discussion by not only fans but media as well. All it really does is give this writer some more exposure for his nonsense. Just like any idiot standing on the soapbox shouting something. Don't we just walk away in that case?
I drop the mic and strike a Heisman pose.
