THE BEST DAYS OF THIS TEAM IS GONE
They're going to have to blow up this team a start from scratch and rebuild through the draft. It's old and can hardly compete. We need get younger in the defensive backfield plus we need to change the offesnive block scheme into a zone blocking scheme. Sadly we going to have to be prepaid to for life after big Ben and draft a qb in the 4th or 5th round like Collin Klein so he can learn the system for 2 years and be ready to take over.

RE: THE BEST DAYS OF THIS TEAM IS GONE
Roethlisberger has maybe five years left. I really find it hard to believe this team will truly contend for another Super Bowl in that time.
Tomlin's drafts have been weak (Colbert gets plenty of blame here, too). The earliest of his teams were loaded with seasons, Super Bowl vets, and it showed.
As more of those guys have gone, the less capable the Steelers have been. last year they were the worst 12-4 team in NFL history. This year they're just plain bad.
The Tomlin era is one of stupid sayings, bad press conferences, and incredibly inconsistent football teams.
Announcing your plans is a good way to hear God laugh.

The DC and the OC needs to go. Tomlin needs to be allowed to hire his own guys and Art needs to stay out of their way.

Re: THE BEST DAYS OF THIS TEAM IS GONE
Well it hurts that no one on the defense can make a great play like an INT or force a fumble. Harrison did it last week, but it can be reasonable to say that that was an aberration.

Re: THE BEST DAYS OF THIS TEAM IS GONE
you are begining to see the tomlin affect on this team the longer he is here. i have faith that the rooneys see that they made a mistake hiring him to lead and keep the coaching hires, drafts etc out of his hands. if you cant see a pattern developing you neded to get your eyes checked

Re: THE BEST DAYS OF THIS TEAM IS GONE
They need to get one high draft pick and draft and impact defensive player. Te'o would be a nice fit, or a pass rushing LBer. Then they need to use FA at some point if they want to really have a chance at a SB with ben here. They need a big WR and at least one defensive playmaker. Also, woodley needs to come into the season 10-20 pounds lighter.

And let me add on that this current team blew an oppertunity to have a nice dynasty too.

Re: THE BEST DAYS OF THIS TEAM IS GONE
We just need to re-tool. We still may sneak into the playoffs, the AFC as a whole is very weak compared to recent years.
Before today's games, here's the AFC standings...
1. Texans 2. Broncos 3. Ravens 4. Pats 5. Colts 6. Steelers
That's a week top 6 teams. The Texans are tough. The rest of the teams are VERY beatable. The Broncos can be beat, have to pressure Peyton. Ravens are falling apart, have been for weeks. Rattle/frustrate Brady is the key to beating the Pats. The Colts are led by Arians, can't be too hard to confuse or trick that moron.

RE: THE BEST DAYS OF THIS TEAM IS GONE
Only a handful of years left on a one-in-a-generation QB for the Steelers. The door hasn't shut, but you can hear the creaking.
