Pauline: Steelers showing most interest in Taylor Hart

Oregon DL Taylor Hart, who will have his foot re-examined by doctors in Indy, is a "forgotten" and "underrated" prospect, according to draft insider Tony Pauline.

The reason he hasn't been talked about much is because the broken foot kept Hart out of the Senior Bowl and combine. Still, this is a good football player that reminds NFL Films guru Greg Cosell of former Steelers' DE Aaron Smith. Pauline reports that the Steelers, Colts and Eagles have showed the most interest in the Ducks' product. "Sources characterize Hart as a plug and play type of defensive lineman, which I would agree with and while a coupling with former Ducks head coach Chip Kelly in Philadelphia is intriguing, he seems like a natural fit for the Steelers," Pauline wrote. "Hart is not a prospect that wows you on film but a player who will be a coaches favorite at the next level based on his intelligent, disciplined style."
This is a restraining order to Roger Goodell.  You must stay 100 yards away from the NFL at all times.

Let's not get carried away by calling him Aaron Smith. But as we reported the Steelers met with Hart at the combine. He's not as good of a run-stopper as they would like -- yet -- but he has a real nice burst to the QB.

The Ducks have been producing some decent defensive players as of late.

I'm sure "poor man's" should have been added to that description.  However, I like that it came from Cosell.

I would like to read it in Cosell's own words. I watched Hart all year and thought more of Keisel, but on the ground a lot more.

It sounds like he would be a great late round pick for us if available.

It originally came from Ross Tucker's podcast - - but, yeah, the sentences surrounding the quote probably would tell the whole evaluation.
