Cowgirls Week

Cowgirls Week Post Rating (3 votes)

Cowgirl fans are funny.   I love to see them implode more than any other fangroup - and boy are they cooperative with that one.

I am almost glad they are riding a 3 game win streak - it has propped up their bandwagon fanbase enough that the emotional fall should be all the more painful.

Oh, and btw, for years now I have found the entire "most talented" mantra thrown out by the media to be laughable.   They are the NFL's version of the tin man...no heart.

Re: Cowgirls Week

Yeah man. I get the feeling we all will get our dosage of trash talking and harsh debate because of biased, idiotic comments from some Cowboy fans blah2

Imo, none of them have the right to talk smack or get ahead of themselves considering how the last meeting went. Not to mention their best wide receiver leaving town since last year. But $h*t happens. I learned that in Oakland so I'm not taking these guys lightly. Can't wait for Faith Hill to get me all riled up for Sunday Night

Its time for football war

Im a cowboy fan from california so  i never get a chance to talk to what i guess are my rivals...? Back in the day it was me against the 49er fans.I still got lots of raider fans to talk to out here but sense im near LA....well there more like gang members than fans. I think we are all going to have fun this sunday. Both teams are hot and i believe theres more of revenge factor for the cowboys in this game.

Last year your team ended my season or more like you helped because the locker room had many prima donnas on the team,Greg Ellis,Roy (horsecollar) Williams,T.O(really Me-O)Anthony Henery,Tank Johnson and Adam Jones are all gone they helped do that also from within. Cowboys have picked up some nice pieces that i like, Oshansky,Sensabaugh,Brooking and some 2nd year guys helping out also like Jenkins,Felix Jones and Bennett(great blocking on the 2 TE sets) that has made a difference. Only cowboy fans who follow the team closely can trully see the difference.

My predication of course will favor the cowboys. Why,well it will get down to who wins in the trenches give mcnabb time and he will eat us alive with your pair of reciveing threats. If the boys can get to mcnabb and those semi-healed ribs then we have a shot on defense. This is my concern though when the cowboys have the ball, the eagles have a quick small line and those type tend to give the cowboys big guys up front fits.I bet we dont get our running game going until the 2nd half like the 4th qtr.I Hope Garrtte understands that this will happen, that the boys wont have success early on and must continue trying. When it comes to passing...tho we beat the seahawks i still saw a lot of things i didnt like. The cowboys were running a lot of long developing routes.I fear this cuz the eagles have a soild secoundary and with those quick d-lineman that could lead to fumble causeing sacks or forced interceptions. When the cowboys get the ball we must use what ever little misdirection type plays to get a overly aggressive defense off balanced. plays like screens, bootlegs and stuff like that. My score dallas 24 eagles 21.

Here's to good game on national tv for everyone to enjoySports1.gif

I've always found it funny that if a Cowboys fan talks about the past people get pissed and say the past doesn't matter. Yet when any other team does it, its perfectly fine. Last years game means about as much to sunday nights game, as the **** im about to take does....Unless my **** reaches the Cowboys locker room just in time to give them swine flu.....aw damnnit i stand corrected, my **** i guess can effect sundays game..... That said good luck on sunday Miles austin- 6 catches 120 yards and a touchdown book it

You may have a point about the past stuff but Miles Austin hasn't put up those numbers against REAL DB's. He'll be lucky to get 65 yards.

I'm looking forward to a good game as well.  After the three last year I'll bet that the over is more than 45 (24-21).  The Eagles have an explosive offense that really got on track last week and will be almost impossible to defend.  It all starts with the O-Line who, for the first time against a good D-Line, aquitted themselves quite nicely.  I believe that the Eagles, with a defense that can actually tackle, I'm looking at you Asante, can lock down the Boys receivers and make the one dimensional.

237.1 yards given up by Dallas through the air per game for 22nd place in the NFL.  Eat 'em up DMac.

Witherspoon will be huge in this one.   Before him we had a Death Star Defense, now we have no holes for a team to exploit.

Anything is possible, any given sunday, yada yada yada, but i like the Eagles in this one.   If it were in Dallas i would likely expect the boys to pull it out.

RE: Cowgirls Week

how about this.

When we are talking about the past, we talk about previous games involving players that are still on our team. Like Donovan, Westbrook, Asante, Sheldon, Trent Cole... i could go on...

but when you guys talk about the past, you are talking about the Landry era, and Emmit Smith, and Troy Aikman and Michael Irivn and Neon Deion... you know, players that have since retired, coaches that have passed away... things of that nature.

So when we talk about the last time we played you, we kicked your ***... when you talk about the last time you actually did anything worth noting in the NFL, we are talking about 13 years ago... like the last time you won a playoff game.

RE: Cowgirls Week

No doubt you kicked our @$$ last game...and we won the one before that...and for the record this is NOT the same Cowboys team that was on the field at the end of last year...  you MAY win this game, but if that happens, unlike last year, you will be in a fight until the end....I said the same thing that has already been posted regarding the lack of heart of last years team... I don't feel that way about this team... It SHOULD be a great game...

The Dallas pass defense is 20th and does give up 237.1 yards a game.

Philadelphia is 10th against the pass and gives up 193.7 yards a game.

The Dallas pass defense has allowed 12 passing TDs, and Philadelphia 11 TDs.

Many, if not all Philadelphia fans consider the Philadelphia pass defense to be superior to Dallas, but the Philadelphia defense has allowed but 1 less passing TD this year. A very small difference after 7 games.

The Dallas defense got off to a slow start this year. But as the year has progressed it has improved week by week.

The Dallas pass defense will get it's toughest assignment of the year so far. I think they will be ready for the challenge. We'll see on Sunday.

Re: Cowgirls Week

I am really looking forward to this game!!!  I will miss wearing my T.O. Cowboys jersey to the Linc, but I have a nice D-Ware, Romo, or Barber jersey to rock up there.  I think I'll go with the D-Ware joint.

That said, good luck to all, I think it's going to be a physical contest but that damn D-Jack and Maclin scares me.  I think if Dallas limits those stupid penalties (that always cost them in games like this) and if Romo keeps on taking care of the ball, I love the Cowboys chances.

I think Dallas is going to have to run the ball early and often to keep that potent Eagles offense off the field.

Here's to no significant injuries on either team. biggrin

Cowboys fan in da' buildin'!!!!!  D. Jackson has been doing a great job doing his thing out there.  I think he has worked and played very hard this season.  He deserves a day off!!  Someone please get word to him to take a well deserved break Sunday.....          Seriously. frown

Check back after you've played the Saints.  biggrin

Don't worry CBG, I don't think you'll have to encourage Andy to throw the ball, but I would hope after rushing for 180 against the Giants, we'll keep some balance.

Re: The tea leaves say....PASS!

That number could also be weighted by the fact that DeMarcus Ware was invisible up until a few  weeks ago.

But even in their last three games they gave up an average of 233.3 yards.

Another thing...DeMarcus Ware has not sacked anyone not named 'Matt' this season

(Cassel, Ryan, Hasselbeck)

I would say that Donovan is pretty safe. LOL

I think the Birds are going to go at whoever Michael Jenkins is covering. The one Dallas game I saw this season, he didn't look that good at all.

Look for half back screens on the side that DeMarcus Ware is on too...anything to slow his pass rush down.

Dude, so true.  They had five REC TD's right?  Ouch.

Telling Andy to throw is like telling him to eat...he was gonna do it anyway.
