Re: Raiders/Lions pre season thread

Every year I get my hopes up thinking this will be the year.  That first preseason game was a hit to my confidence.  Generally, I would say it is only preseason and not overreact to the outcome.  The first string has to look alive to give a lot of fans hope.    Win or lose, I am diehard Silver & Black, but must we have to die year after year?  Even my Clippers and Dodgers are showing life of the last two years.  It has to be the Raiders time soon.  Hopefully, that year is this year.

Go Raiders!!!

Prepare for the following: Allen being fired by week 8......Schaub being replaced by week 4.....Reggie making more excuses while we win just 3 games this year. Buckle up

Re: Raiders/Lions pre season thread

Raiders once again looked like a 3-13 team; so they won, yet first team offense and defense got dominated by Lions.  Offensive line cant pass block = shyt   Reggie couldn't find anyone better than Kalif Barnes? geez

Re: Raiders/Lions pre season thread

I guess that's progress because the week before they looked like an 0-16 team. I don't know what's up with this O line. I know Detroit has a pretty good starting front 7 but on every play they would push our O line back 3 yards. I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade over last year??I know D.A. said Wiz was "coming into his own" at center last year but I don't see it.

At this pace we can hope for 8-8.  I miss TP.  I watched the Seachikens game.  His accuracy was spotty, but he kept the def honest because of his run ability.  A year with Wilson and TP will be in demand.  However, I like Carr.  he reminds me of a young Phillip Rivers.

Re: Raiders/Lions pre season thread

I've watched both seahawks games (and I hope the Raiders coaches have too). I specifically wanted to see the Chargers first team play. All I can say is the Chargers are not very deep on defense or O line. Re: TP - he actually outplayed both QB's in the first game IMO. Second game, yeah, some Carr type overthows but at least is looking smarter and reading defenses better. Plus, Seattle's entire offensive scheme is centered around running QB's. But what do they know. Interesting your comparison of Carr and Rivers. Agreed, same type of release and velocity.

My 15000th post.
