I don't trust top ten LB's anymore. I would go with the DT.

Actually they should trade down and stock pile extra picks.

Re: Lotulelei or Teo?

This isnt Carson Palmers fault. He could use a little direction , no doubt, but he moves the chains. We dont have a running game to eat up clock , and provide that threat.
Carson doesnt have enough fear of the opponents secondary. Jason Campbell had waaayyyyy too much. Seems like Carson needs a QB coach who can tweek him a little. And some recievers who run the right routes, and catch the ball would help.

Re: Lotulelei or Teo?

Seems like everyone's' wish is to trade down, and now that there's a new agreement with the players union, it's finally possible.       The Raiders need to fill so many holes, it's sad that this team once had formidable cb's, and now the cupboard is bare.  Of course the list is much longer than just cb's it's just the position that sticks out to me the most, (sadly it keeps shifting as there are so many needs)

RE: Lotulelei or Teo?

Take Manti Te'o.... He is not like any other player coming out of college. He is not all about him self and is a smart guy that has no problems in his life like growing up in a bad neighbor hood.

He is a great pick that will represent the Raiders with respect and have respect for coaches and players.

If we have the chance to pick him and we don't we will regret it for 10 years.

GO RAIDERS
RIP AL DAVIS
JUST WIN BABY!

we got screwed with those stupid contracts to routt, wimbley, huff, carson palmer,kelly,seymore...this is what happenes when management just keep kicking the can down the road, eventually it had to be paid and were paying for it now

sh.it player getting paid like top talent
shi.t contracts
trading away high draft picks for mediocre players

holy cow, reggie and dinnis walked into the worst freakin economic mess that any new gm or coach have in the history of the game !!!

Re: Lotulelei or Teo?

Amazing to me that Routt is getting paid by half the teams in the NFL and is probably sitting on a beach  in Tahiti, or somewhere comparable. ohlord  UPDATE, I just heard Routt signed with the Texans, meaning he's going to the playoffs. Lucky Bastige.

This is definitely a lost NFL season, both where I live, (KC) and for the Raiders. (I guess you could lump SD in there too.    Almost all the queef fans are desperate to lose the rest of their games, hoping to get the number 1 pick in the draft, to use on a QB.

They were also hoping by going 1-15, the queefs would fire their gm,  and head coach  too.
Now that J. Belchar killed himself Saturday in front of those guys, and the d-coordinator, they fear the owner will keep them on, out of pity or something.    It's really weird to go to their most popular board and see them arguing with Raider and dolts fans, with everyone arguing their team is the worst, and will get their behinds handed to them next time they play.  (seems SD fans are hoping to get Norv fired finally)

Oh well, things can only get better next year... right? Right? noidea (this is the part where you assure me that 'things will get better,'  biggrin

Re: Lotulelei or Teo?

said it when we drafted him "gonna cost us 5 yrs" ohlord since jbustass we have gone thru 3 coaches,3 offensive cords and d-cords as well, were now on our 4th coach and staff, our 1st gm and they need time to clean up this freakin mess they inherited, the last thing we need is another coach and another staff !!!

My asking for your assurance (even if you don't believe there's hope for next season) reminded me of the end of 'Mice and Men,' by Steinbeck.
You seem to be educated, so I'm sure some where in middle school/junior high you had to read that book.    I felt like Lennie, 'tell me again George, about how wonderful it will be in the future....'  You played the part of George, lying to me so I could die happy, 'yeah, sure, the Raiders are going to win the Super Bowl next year...'   Thanks! biggrin
Meh, who knows maybe it will get better next year, all I know is, if I'm alive, I'm still going to be a Raiders fan.pirate

Re: Lotulelei or Teo?

Currently Oakland would have the 3rd pick. St Louis owns picks 13 and 15 at the moment. This would be an even trade according to the value table.

Re: Lotulelei or Teo?

Wow, St. Louis has recently had some nice, high draft picks, (Chris Long was born to wear Silver and Black dang it!)
Now you tell me not only do they have Jeff Fisher, they also have draft pick 13 and 15!
I would love for the Raiders to do that trade.    Now I know what I'm going to put on my list for Santa this Christmas.  pirate

Re: Lotulelei or Teo?

st louis is doing it the right way, they got the cap in control, they have young talented players like long, laurinitas, quinn, dunbar, jenkins, givens, amendo la,kendricks, bradford, they traded their #2 pick last yr to washington and gota crapload of high picks, then traded down again in the 1st to stock pile more picks, very smart on fishers part, now the raiders must do the same in order to fill its roster with hungry talented players, rather then below avg over paid players

Re: Lotulelei or Teo?

Another potential draft trade partner may be Miami. They have the 14th pick and 2 second and 2 third rounders. We could trade the 3rd pick for their 14th, 2 second rounders and 1 third rounder. We would then have 5 picks in the top 80 which would certainly help.
