This sets up us getting Manti Te'o with the 2-6 pick in the draft!

I hope you're right, but I keep hearing he's going to be the number one pick, so he may be gone already.

I live in KC, and they are currently favored to get the number one overall, however people here will lynch the owner/gm if they don't pick a qb first, so unless they trade down, (or don't get the #1 pick) maybe he still will be sitting there when the second pick rolls around.  noidea

agree with all those players must go, Seymour did not practice today, and hasn't in 3 weeks, dude has no fire to play, especially for a losing team that has no heart or leaders. Carson Palmer is no leader, INT machine, tommy kelly is village idiot - stupid player, dmac is now healthy time to trade him for picks before he steps on a eggshell and gets hurt again

another season shot to hell  bangheadbanghead

we finally begin the rebuild after this season, last season left the team with no high draft picks and no cap room plus a bunch of screwed up contracts to deal,i'm hoping for a top 10 pick so we can trade down to get the 2nd rd pick back that we lost to cincy, then trade dmac for a 2nd rd pick and perhaps carson palmer for a 3rd/4th rd pick

I mostly agree with your post, however the thought of drafting a qb while trading off Palmer and having a rookie who can only sit behind/learn from Leinart makes me nauseous.   I am still holding out hope for TP to be the qb one day, maybe next year?   Maybe we could have a miracle fa qb land in our lap like denver, but I hold out no hope.... noidea

I would love to see Palmer play with a actual running game, you remember the running game, right? (sarcasm)  which we used to have before Knapp came back and we lost both rb's due to injury?       However I must say, this draft will be the first rebuild, and we'll find out what Reggie et al. can do.

On a sad note, I think there's no doubt the Raiders will have a top 10 pick.

But look on the bright side, maybe the Mayans are right, and the world is about to end, at least the queefs are in the cellar for eternity, not the Raiders! biggrin

id rather just throw pryors arse out there, hell look at all the rookies from last yr and this yr "their all starters and all of them are making an impact for their teams, pryor can certainly run and we know he can throw a little too,so why not ??? we don't need an aging carson palmer and his 15 million dollar salary playing for us in a rebuild imo

ps seems to me marcel reece/goodson can certainly run well in the zbs (4.4/6.1 avg)that knapp runs, only one dementional dmac seems to be having a problem with it

I've been looking at the Dmac trade as a good ideal since early sept. He was the best player on our roster yet can't seem to stay on the field year in and year out, and wasn't a fit for the zbs. prob could have gotten more if traded sooner frown

i agree with trading him prior to his injury,on top of that dude is gonna be in the final yr of his contract so trading him would be contingent on him agreeing to a new deal for the new team also

Re: HOORAY HOORAY - McClain out

I'm not a fan of trading away our best M2M corner, most versatile secondary guy. Especially since we're so depleted at the moment. I'm also not a big fan of getting rid of the best QB since Gannon, Palmer can't run the ball and play defense. Now getting rid of Greg Knap might be a better option. We definitely need to look at getting a better play caller. When Palmer is afforded the opportunity to audible at the line and call his own plays, our offense hums.

Dmac has been hurt far to often to really make an argument for keeping. It's unfortunate the guy just can't seem to stay healthy, because he's one of the best offensive weapons in the league.

Seymore and Kelly have been solid in previous years and have provided solid veteran leadership. However, this year has been abysmal. I could careless one way or another whether we keep or get rid of them.
