FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME ...

FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME ...

GRUDEN is just waiting to be offered the job and the timing could be right:

LA has received approval for an NFL team in Los Angeles in an arena next to Staples Center.  Nothing would make Al happier than to have the team back in LA in a new arena.  Additionally,

I think Raiders should let ALL current players and coaches go ... get GRUDEN who doesn't take **** from anyone, it's his way or the highway.  Let Gruden bring the players and coaches he want. Management should stay out of his way since Al is no longer with us.

The group that is building a home for an NFL team in Los Angeles should help the Raiders to payoff this lazy *** group. And, like I said, get all new players and JON GRUDEN to coach them. It may take a couple of years but guaranteed they will be playing professional ball to win and not just showing up for a paycheck.

What we have now will NEVER work.

Re: FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME ...

This scenario would work best if Mark Davis sold the team, rather move to LA with Mark Davis as owner - however I prefer if Mark Davis sold the team to John Madden and share staduim with the 9ers to save money to sign quality players

Clean house needs to go all the way to the owner - Mark Davis is a nice guy, but can't lead worth a damn, and the whole team is in deinal and in horrible disarray

Gruden would coach for Madden

Re: FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME ...

This sounds good to me, except they should return to LA.  I really like the idea of Gruden working for Madden, but I don't want the old time Raider players trying to run anything.  Management is not where they excel.   I don't Tweet ... can you tweet that idea to Madden and Gruden?  Seriously.  (Why is my post gray?)

Re: FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME ...

Meh, John Madden, while I do love the guy, is like 9 million years old, and is in no shape for running an NFL team is my guess.

I say give Mark Davis a chance, he's only been in the job a little more than a year, that's a job with a huge learning curve,  5 years or more I would say.  Unfortunately we live in a microwave speed society, and I think we've all lost patience.noidea

I too am impatient, but hey, what can we do but try and have patience, and hope Da Raiduhs aren't so injury plagued next year. pirate

Re: FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME ...

Gruden is not going to coach the Raiders again so get over that idea, still have no clue as to why he has so much appeal but you can bet your bottom dollar the guy will never be our coach again, ain't gonna happen and neither is Bill Cower, or Tony Dungy, so dream on but not gonna happen...ever...

Re: FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME ...

exactly, why would gruden give up a job that paid him 5 million per yr to coach again, the raiders also are not a n organization thats gonna pay a head coach that kind of money and another problem is gruden is in that upper echelon of coaches who is gonna want some gm powers ala jeff fisher who was able to hire his own gm

Re: FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME ...

Weird, just today on a queefs board they have a thread about a new (as of today Dec 3rd) rumor that Gruden is coming back to Oakland.  Who would leave a dream job like the one he currently has for the grueling job that is NFL coaching?  I sure wouldn't, but maybe I'm just lazy...  biggrin

The problem for Mark Davis is when his Mother dies, After that he has little just but to sell OUR team.

I DON'T KNOW ...MIGHT HAPPEN THIS TIME ..

Here's a link to related "trending" stories:

http://search.yahoo.com/search...festyles-us-tts

Apologize, couldn't get hyperlink to work.  There is a story included that states "Mark Davis invited Jon Gruden back to Oakland to light the Al Davis Flame, starting the desirous rumors."

The timing is ideal ... Jon would have time to build a winning team just in time to move into the new NFL arena at LA Live near Staples Center and the Nokia Theater.  The LA draw for both Jon and the players.  Cannot bring a losing team to LA, so he will have time to get ready while they build the arena.

Come on Raiders .... now is the time ... make this happen.

Funny but all of the research has been done in Oakland and Dublin, also Mrs Davis never wanted the team in L.A. The fans won't show up That's already been proven. A new team has to win to keep interest in L.A. Market! Sounds like wishful thinking on L.A.!tongue

I am sorry, but I cannot read your posts.  The CAPS are masquerading your posts. I can't figure out what message you're trying to relay.  Whether you're angry ... want a confrontation, debate or discussion.

Thank you for your response to my post, but "I'M OUT", as the Sharks would say.

Re: I DON'T KNOW ...MIGHT HAPPEN THIS TIME ..

Raiders best option is move to Santa Clara with Mark Davis in control, the sell option is whats needed to really start completely over but remote. This offseason couldn't come faster

Re: FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME ...

I'm just saying ... in tonight's game Texans against NE, Gruden had Raiders on the brain and twice mentioned Routt an wondered why the Raiders let him go.  Torico (sp?), his partner didn't say a word.  Never even asked him about the rumors.

Come on Raiders, let's make it happen.  biggrin
