I agree 100% except for Stephen Hill.  Every year it's the same old story.  "Great Speed-Great intangibles-Raw ability".  This guy has got to show it in games.  It is time for Stephen to step up and drop his nuts already.
As Jets fans, we've been waiting for a WR phenom since Keyshawn and i specifically thought we had it in Hill when Tanny drafted him.

He's got to make it happen this pre-season.  If he doesn't, i'd rather go into the '14 season with Greg Salas than to have a wasted roster spot in Hill.

Well, if it's based on camp, then he can be a "camp riser."

But you are right. He has to prove it in games. I have been a big fan of his, but it's time for him to step up or step out the door.

I found Davis to be one of the least impressive players I saw in camp

Where have you been getting your info?   Dimitri Peterson has had an average camp (at best)  ... and was TOASTED by Stephan Hill yesterday in the Green & White Game ....  I think he has the same "bad hips" we knock Wilson for.

RB's Daryl Richardson and Alex Green both have look good all camp ......but what do we do with them?

LBers's ..  Reilly and George ,  will be interesting to watch ....

Salas and Sudfeld would my top 2 also. Gotta think Aboushi OG has shown great long term potential and moved himself clearly ahead of Dozier, Campbell, and Iljana.

Actually, Alex Green has missed most of camp with a chest injury, and did nothing during the scrimmage. Hill toasted Cromartie several times in 2012/2013, yet it never made a difference come the regular season.

You got that right.  We drafted 12 rookies...Jalen Saunders as PR is the only starter on our current depth chart...I wouldnt say a single rookie is on track to be on the rookie watch list.  Even Pryor is quickly falling and Amaro is definitely behind ASJ and Ebron on the TE watch list.  Definitely a disappointing rookie class....through all of 1 week of evaluation to date.

It was silly (stupid, crazy?) to use all 12 draft picks. We should have definitely used those picks to move up during several rounds in the draft. I was dissappointed w/ our draft and my mind hasn't been changed with what we've seen so far in camp and what I've heard about other rookies and how they seem to be playing on other teams.

It's always good to have knee jerk reactions, especially with draft picks. I mean if they don't light it up in their first camp, they never will. Here's another person who had a knee jerk reaction, and obviously, he couldn't have been more correct.

#tbt RT @RealSkipBayless: Biggest steal: Tavon to Rams at 8. Worst picks: Sheldon Richardson 13 to Jets.

of course, 4 of the jets draft picks were not tradeable as they were comp picks.  so yeah, we had 12 total picks, but 7 of them were in the comp part of round 4 (pick 137) or later, and 4 of those 7 weren't even available to be traded.

pryor is obviously a bust since he got a concussion and thus hasn't been able to make any headlines...

Who is our best rookie in camp so far?

hard to judge since our top 3 picks have been injured and/or struggling to adjust to a pro system (amaro).  but given we haven't even played a pre-season game, i'm not about to declare the draft a bust and bemoan that we didn't take player x or y.  let's keep in mind stephen hill consistently lights up camp, so i'm not just yet ready to put into the pro bowl some of these rookie WRs that have shown well in the first week or two of camp.

if you want to say that after 2 weeks in camp the results aren't great, that's fine.  it's also pretty meaningless in the big picture.

I don't remember Demario Davis having a great camp in 2012. Oday Aboushi didn't look like much last year either. Point is, draft picks are investments. They're not necessarily meant to be instant gratification. Free agents are expected to come in and produce immediately(Decker, Johnson, etc). Not all draft picks develop at the same rate.

I know it's early, but reading about the way some of the Top WRs are playing in their respective camps is frustrating since that was an area where most of us wanted one of those guys and Idzik didn't get it done. Just my opinion. Hopefully some of our 12 picks pan out (I'm sure some of them will be very good players), but I'm just not enthralled w/ what we got.

Re: My Top 10 "Risers" in Jets camp so far

fair or not.....there is a pressing need for Pryor to be good right away. that secondary is a potential nightmare. My only real gripe about the draft was not taking a shot at one of the QBs that went in the middle rounds......that's about it. Then again I'm still questioning the 2013 draft pick spent on Geno Smith.

I'm concerned about Ras-I Dowling CB 6'1"/210 ? I'm not hearing his name mentioned, is he hurt ? I know he's been hurt @ UVA & with the Patriots & the Jets, but when this kid is right, he is an incredible CB. Potential to be a # 1 CB if healthy. If we cut him, he will be scooped up immediately.mad

Go Jets....Cyborg

Dowling, as usual, is injured. If you can't stay on the Field you are not a number 1 anything. It's dowlings forte
