Week 13 Games - Thanksgiving Games

Packers/Lions, Raiders/Boys, Steelers/Ravens starts this week's slate of games. Titans/Colts, Bengals/Chargers, Falcons/Bills, Pats/Texans moved to 1PM, Bears/Vikes, Giants/Skins look like the close matches.

Packers look like Jets against Bengals/Bill/Ravens......

Every time QB turns around he has couple of guys in his face....

When he does get time, no one is open.....

When he gets time and throws the ball, they drop it.....

When they try to run, line is already stacked and they can't run....

Packer's D kept them in the game, got TO after TO and gave them a chance....and after a while they too quit.

Matt McGloin - Also a Rookie, third career start, does not appear to be retarded like some other QBs.

Is his team 2 and 1 after 3 starts?

No. Too bad he doesn't play line backer....maybe he can stop few runs.

Raiders better find out what they got.....and not get stuck with Terrel Pryor's "athleticism".

He knows simple concepts like going through the progression, in fact deceiving the defense by looking the wrong way, stepping up in the pocket, audible when blitz is coming, change protection based on defense, scramble, back-shoulder throws, quick release, timing throws, go long when everyone is coming and recognize where one on one coverage is, etc.

Attributes we can only dream about.

McGloin did look decent today made some nice throws. Then again the Cowboys defense ranks near the bottom of almost every defensive category in the NFL.They still lost, that into in the endzone killed them. Don't know if you saw that, it's not on your list.

A couple people around here seem to think it indicated that Flynn was a bad QB - unlike my assessment of him.
Ah, well, there's no accounting for SOME peoples' assessment abilities.noidea

yup.  the packers got rid of him.  the seahawks got rid of him.  the raiders got rid of him.  the bills got rid of him.  and only when VERY desperate (after losing Rodgers and first going with Seneca Wallace and then Scott Tolzein), did the packers give him another shot.

but you are always right with your QB assessments...I mean Matt Cassel and Josh Freeman are Canton-bound after all... bored1

Uh huh, right along with Chad Henne & Elvis Grbac.
2 can play at throwing stones at glass houses, Mr. Michigan Wolverines. wink

I never said either was Canton-bound, just better than they are being given credit for & one is a better athlete than a certain future HoF QB.
If you have to distort what I said, so badly, it doesn't really count as having "got me", you know. bored1

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand Cassel goes to (3-2) on the season, (QBR of 80.74 in relief of Ponder), coming from 10 down in the middle of the 3rd quarter to win in OT - while Geno Smith bats a whopping 8.33 QBR against MIA to go (5-7) and 0 fer 3 in the past 3 weeks (1-4 over the past 5. .

Not trying to gloat here, just sayin' mon, just sayin.....noidea

With that, I consider BOTH discussions now closed.
Those that will, will still have hopes and faith in Geno.
Those that won't, won't.
In either case I have said all I want to about Geno Smith, for the foreseeable future.
Cassel, in MY humble opinion, will yet prove he's a much better QB than anyone suspects.

Man I thought Milliner was getting burned, that's nothing compared to what Peyton is doing to this kid Cooper from KC.

actually, you said many times that matt cassel is a better QB than tom brady...not a better athlete.  if were are basing it just on athletic ability, then geno smith is a better athlete than brett favre.

btw - nice use of those Michigan QBs.  they actually fit in nicely with your post since it seems you are talking about very mediocre nfl QBs.
