Jets to try to trade Tebow after league year begins
So according to this article, the Jets won't release Tebow before the league year begins and will instead try to trade him when the league year begins...highly unlikely we get anything for him and he will probably get released...suppose we could hope for a conditional late rounder, maybe from the Bears, Rams, Eagles or Chiefs...

Re: Jets to try to trade Tebow after league year begins
Yeah... that's about all I see us getting for him. Maybe a 7th depending on the number plays/snaps he is on the field for.
I would be amazed if the Jags don't grab him (if the cost is a conditional late pick) just for the benefits related to marketing the team alone. Despite the fact that they said they're not interested, it could just largely be posturing in order to drive down Tebow's price.

Yeah I think it could be posturing by the Jags, basically not playing their hand so that they can get him without giving anything up if the Jets cut him

Unless Idzik can gin up something at least vaguely resembling a competition for Tebow, we're getting zippo for him.

If we get a pastrami sandwich for him, with a conditional Bud light, we should jump on it

How much cap relief do the jets get if they release Tebow?

I could still see Trestman or Chip Kelly maybe giving up a conditional 7th for him...and who knows, we'll see about the Jags, I could still see them giving a conditional 7th as well, would bring a lot of $ to that franchise and the media wouldn't make a circus out of it like they did here...also I never count on Andy Reid the QB guru to take on a project like Tebow, and the Rams were interested last season but who knows if that's the case anymore

might as well hold him through the draft. who knows, maybe you can trade tebow and a 5th for a 4th with the jags.

This could be our chance to update our blocking sleds at Cortland this offseason.
Tebow for 5 blocking sleds, a tub of gatorade and some fresh towels.

Throw in some a new jock strap for player and the deal will be done.

Re: Jets to try to trade Tebow after league year begins
The new owner Shahid Khan only cares about ticket sales and reduction of cost. Offer them this trade: Maurice Jones Drew RB 5'7"/210 goes to the Jets for Tim Tebow & our 3rd round pick for MJD. Sounds like Greene is gone, and MJD is only 27. Go Jets....Cyborg

Go Jets....Cyborg does their owner have a bad crack habit? or does idzik has some pictures of khan with a prostitute? because that is the only way you will get MJD for a 3rd round pick and tebow (who is probably worth a 7th if we are lucky). sorry cy, but that idea is just plain

Maybe the Jets could trade Tebow and a sixth to the Colts for Luck.

Mayb 49ers? They will need a backup QB as Alex Smith would be released or traded. Tebow at least has small chance of fitting in their offense even if he is nothing as good as Kap.
All the teams that are running read option or planning to, he might be attractive to them as a backup....my guess.

its too bad Josh McDaniels is on the Pats...he would probably be interested in him if didn't have Brady. I wonder what McDaniels thought he was gonna do with him in Denver.
