Wow can we close this thread b/c it's utterly useless...
Conor Orr decided to stir the pot a bit by reporting the Jets had "VERY EXPLORATORY INFORMAL DISCUSSIONS" about Jamarcus Russell which basically doesn't mean anything, I'm sure they have these sorts of convos about thousands of players...
Brian Bassett from The Jets Blog has also said any slightly serious convos about him occurred last offseason and never got anywhere so this is old news and the ship has already sailed long ago...

Not to mention I'd be willing to bet money it's JaMarcus Russell's people that leaked this to Conor Orr to stir up some interest since maybe the Jets contacted his people last offseason

Maybe he can introduce Sanchez to the Purple Drank and it has some profound, bizzaro, backwards effect on him and he comes out ballin' like Montana next season.

And just so we can end this here ya go, same guy who initially wrote the idiotic piece says this on twitter:
"@ConorTOrr: Per person w/ knowledge of #Jets plans, no interest in Russell. Reported Monday there were some very informal discussions. No interest tho"
Also had to explain earlier "relax guys, talks were VERY informal as I reported earlier"

True, it'd be irresponsible not to have these types of informal convos about players...the issue is dopes like Conor Orr reporting this and it turning into some fire storm b/c it's the Jets so it essentially turns into "Jets planning to sign former bust JaMarcus Russell"

I call him JaBUSTus Hustle for a reason.
The guy is an accomplished Con Man.
He can TALK a good game, he just can't PLAY a good game.
Look no further than former #2 pick QB Ryan Leaf, who managed to screw himself right out of the NFL, right out of his redemption as a High School coach by stealing prescription painkiller drugs by B&E peep's houses, and right out of a rehab program that could have shaved a lot of time off his 5 year sentence for that B&E work.
Last week he was sentenced to return to the Deer Lodge Prison, where he will serve out the full 5 years after being ejected from the rehab program for a 4th violation of the terms of his rehabilitation program.
He threatened to smash a councillor's head through the glass or some such insane behavior.
Drug addicts will say anything, do anything, to score that next fix.
Once they con you into giving them the money, all those promises are just so much empty air - and Hustle is as big an addict as they come.
