Again, anyone has to be better than Sparano/Cavanaugh. Now let's actually find an NFL QB and hope Sanchez never plays another down for this team. I would love to see the Jets defense have a chance to beat up on Sanchez if they can somehow trade him and we play that team.

I was hoping Chad Pennington would take the gig, but this guys is supposed to be good. I believe Rex wanted him before, but he took the Buffalo job.

MM is a WCO guy and Lee was the wildcat innovator. Maybe they can do some things. . .assuming we have a QB.

Chad was a Rhodes scholar  he has alot of other opportunities in life and he would not be stupid enough to take the job

I remember David Lee's name mentioned on this board before last season as a possible OC before we hire Sparano. I heard he is a good QB coach. We shall see...

He coached Pennington in Miami under Sporano. I think the reason he turned us down last year was because he probably knew Sporano wouldn't make a very good OC. He went to the Bills instead. Take this into consideration. He s credited with developing Tony Romo as an undrafted free agent QB into a pro-bowler. Before you say Romo sucks consider its not like Romo was a top 5 pick,,,, he wasn't even drafted.

Sanchez was a top 5 pick, and at this point looks like an UDFA. I wonder if Lee can reverse the process. (personally I doubt it, but I suppose it is technically feasible, even if highly unlikely.)

Not sure about the restrictions in the CBA, but when can Sanchez start working with our new OC & QCs?

Anytime the Jets upgrade a player or Coach, I am happy. David Lee is better than Cavanaugh.

Really hope they dump the wildcat and just focus on fixing the offense. It causes more problems than solves.

Don't think that we go back to the wildcat just because of DL.  He and MartyM are here to fix the QB problem, and screwing around with the wildcat to me doesn't seem to be part of any solution.

I can just see MM and DL devising some crazy hybrid scheme and people start calling it the wild coast offense.

I hope MM is hiring his offensive coaches and not Rex. We also need to replace our OL, WR and TE coaches.
