Jets will have a Top 10 Draft pick .....

If the season ended today we would draft in the 12 slot ....but if we lose to the Bills ..... the Titans beat Jacksonville ... and the Chargers beat the Raiders. we would move into the top 10

Gives us a shot at top o-linemen and OLBs...which is where we need to be.

Sanchez should throw about three picks and fumble at least once but you still never know. As a Jet fan I guess I know to always expect the unexpected and then remember that what ever is the worst outcome will be our fate. So that probably means that Sanchez plays so poorly that Tebow is put in the game and drives us down for a game winning score, with Tebow leaving means he finds a way to screw us back for not putting him in at QB and screws us some more by giving us a lower 1st rd pick.

That makes me very split. My thought all along is we should accumulate draft picks by trading down. We need bodies at a lot of positions.

One player I wish we had back for the Jets is Santana Moss WR with the Skins. He is a PLAYMAKER. We don't have a playmaker on our team, and I would not consider Santonio Holmes a playmaker. Holmes only goes 100% when his number is called, and he rarely can take a pass to the house on any given play.

We need a PLAYMAKER.noidea

Go Jets...Cyborg

Your right Cy but we need more than one. We need playmakers. I would take Moss on a one year deal-don't know what he has left in the tank.

My issue with Moss is the same issue I have with Revis right now. They want to go to a team that cuts them a blank check. Coles was like that too. Moss was always paid like a top 10 wr and I never felt like he was at any point in his career. I disagree on Holmes but he hasn't had a ton of chances to prove it. He had a string of games his first year here where he won the game or set up the gane winning td. Even this year he had the catch vs miami that lead to the win (and a huge game overall) and against the steelers he was off to a fast start then Sanchez missed him wideopen in the endzone for what would have been his 2nd td.

Hey cy, you gonna watch geno vs nassib tomorrow?

55,  I'll watch Geno, but don't think we should draft a QB in this class.

After I wrote about Moss as a playmaker, I meant in his younger years even though he's still playing great with the Skins.

The Jets need a Julio Jones or Dez Bryant, or Percy Harvin type playmaker. Or a RB like Chris Johnson. A player that can take it to the house with one good cut. Our team is still too slow.noidea

Go Jets...Cyborg

I've seen Tavon Austin in about 3 games this year. He has that type of explosiveness.
I don't know if we could justify a WR as a high pick, but I think he will be a playmaker
at the next level. We might be able to a trade down to get him and another player in
the second round. He also can play a little RB and is dangerous as a returner.

Re: Jets will have a Top 10 Draft pick .....

I agree 100% on Austin. He could be the next Santana/Harvin type that would be a great addition for us...but I think he's a mid to late 1 (don't think he makes it to rd 2). Prolly picked around the same spot as Moss and Harvin, IMO. I'd love him but don't think we go that direction.

Others that could go late rd 1 to mid rd 2 we could target that fit your gamebreaker mold is Hamilton Arkansas, Patterson Tenn, and of course Austin.

RBs i think we gotta look at Bernard UNC, Franklin UCLA, Ellington Clemson, and Taylor Stanford (bigger back with some breakaway speed). All could be 2nd/3rd rd picks.

We need to continue to upgrade our speed at LB and we need picks thrown at the right side of the OL.  Can we draft a RT already???? banghead

I'd love to come out of the first 2 rds with Warmack and Fluker but then would be pissed we didn't get an OLB again...so many holes to fill. :(

RE: Jets will have a Top 10 Draft pick .....

We'll have to see what we do in Free Agency before thinking abut draft picks, WR, S (if Landry leaves), OL, QB, OLB, maybe TE are all potential areas to be addressed in free agency. Maybe even RB
ROLL TIDE!

By miles, Cy. At all the speed positions, too slow by miles.

Hmmm, Holmes, Hill, and Gates all run 4.3 40s.  Kerley is an amazing route runner and Keller runs very fast for a TE.

I agree we need speed at RB...or McKnight needs more PT.

The Jets will pick somewhere between 8-10 , so we should be able to land a stud.

We should be able to land either Jones, Moore, or Werner.

Werner is a 4-3 DE...a little like Jared Allen. Could you see Allen playing 3-4 OLB?

I'd say Jones, Moore, Mingo, or Jordan if we go OLB.

Lakerfan, do you think we may take Mathews or Joekel if they fall? Seems high for Warmack, but would you consider him at 9?

Right now, the Jets have the 9th pick in the draft, per @ ESPNStatsInfo # Jets

# Bills will pick No. 8 overall in the 2013 draft and the  # Jets will pick No. 9.
