It was November of last year.....

When our coaching staff decided to line up our QB as a blocker when we were up by 16 points with 3 minutes left.

Either way, it's not a big deal. He's a QB. Let's settle down about his reaction.

Mark Sanchez may be a lot of things.....

But to call him a "P" is kinda bushleague in my eyes....
The kid has taken a lot of hits over the years and I don't think he's missed more than a couple of games.

He's a mess as a QB right now.

If you want to witness a "P" who is a QB, kindly turn on the TV the next time the Bears are playing and if they get down or it's not looking good.  You can be sure that Jay Cutler will suddenly get 'injured'

Cutler is Jeff George reincarnated.

Or just watch Tom Brady after taking the slightest hit.

Tom Brady took himself out of a playoff game too?

You are certainly entitled to your opinion but sorry I stand by my comment and dsagree -  to not even engage on the play  is in your words "bushleague. "  What does taking a hit have to do with a blocking assignment that he failed to execute and actually stepped back away from the defender.

Oh I get it he is tough...well maybe if he threw the ball away sooner, had pocket awareness he wouldn't have to take hits over the course of his 60 + games or 19 turnovers this year, just saying.

He doesn't lead the league in turnovers or interceptions. I'm just glad the guys we face to end the season could possibly be worse than Sanchez.p

Agreed on this point.  I dislike Mark's play as much as anyone...but last year, he got killed back there (Wayne Hunter allowed the most sacks of any lineman in the NFL in 2011) and Mark got up every time.  he also gutted out the last few games with an injured shoulder (which Burress confirmed over last summer).

IMO, you can question Mark's QB play, or even despise it, but I don't question his toughness.

Except that's not what happened at all.  He flinched before the snap.  In fact HE DID engage on that play.  So much so that he got a holding penalty!

The Bears have given up a total of 248 sacks + hits in 2 years. That is 4th worst in the league. As a point of comparison, the Jets in the last 2 years have given up 192 sacks + hits. That is 13th best in the league.

Cutler gets absolutely abused. I can understand him being a little bit shell shocked.

Not to mention some pretty damned tough guys on the Bertz team get REALLY offended when people try to claim Cutler is a wuss.
As a fan of an NFCN team I see Cutler a lot more than most of you Jets fans.
Trust me, he's no wuss.
The guy is tough as nails, but damn he takes a lot of punishment because of that OL.
The sack numbers are less than half the story.
The number of hits he takes is a lot higher than most NFL QBs as well, and some of those are pretty hard too.
Today he ate his own face mask and just shook it off after a little clock management by the refs - who took a little extra time to march off the 15 yards - then connected with Marshall for 22 yards on the very next play.
I expected to see blood streaming down his face after that one.

If I had his severe Type 1 diabetes and got clobbered half as much as he does, I would have emptied my bank accounts, bought my own private fishing paradise, and gone out on the boat permanently, years ago.

Amazing how every big game he's had he gets 'hurt' and doesn't finish though isn't it.
