I guess its safe to say that Jets/Jags won't be televised anywhere outside of NY-NJ metro area and Florida panhandle, so I'll be wasting my money again at the local sports bar in Ellicott City, Maryland. Thankfully, I broke even playing Keno yesterday as I watched Sanchez's dreadful performance. Looking forward to seeing what #14 can do with a full week of reps.

I'm in the same boat. Comcast just dropped the Jet game down here in Philly, and me , not knowing , had to stream the radio broadcast online. If I'd known in advance , I would have made arrangements to go to a sports bar.

Re: Game Thread: Jets vs Jacksonville

Typical Jet luck that this has to be a road game (good news for Sanchez) and a young QB's best friend, a talented TE (Keller), is now out for the season (bad news for McElroy).  Rex has absolutely no clue what he's doing on the offensive side of the ball and never has, and since this is Year 4, most likely never will.  We got a way with it in the past because the talent level was higher on defense, we had much better special teams, and the running game was more consistent complemented with more talented receivers.

Worse case scenario for this game: Sanchez starts, plays just good enough to lead the Jets to a win.  I would prefer the Jets get embarassed by a bad Jaguars team if Sanchez plays.  The more Mark plays, the more you hurt this team going forward

I really wonder if Keller is back? Mcelroy needs to start. Please Rex, nothing to lose here.

Keller is a weapon. Cumberland is too, but for a different reason. He is a real TE, not a hybrid. A pure pocket passer & one who has take what D's allows (as Mac seems to be) would rather "a" Cumberland who will start the play as a lineman & find openings in the defense.

At least that's what I see on most teams when I am not watching the Jets.

Re: Game Thread: Jets vs Jacksonville

Rex Ryan's presser today is enough to warrant a change at the coaching position.   He seemed hesitant, unsure and didn't act like a leader when pressed about the QB situation.  I believe he honestly doesn't know what he's going to do at QB and we won't know until Sunday.  He'll call it gamesmanship.  If it's Sanchez, Rex loses the majority of the fanbase and I bet at least half his locker room, which he lost around this time last year.  And now Rex admits he made a mistake activating Tebow against the Pats.  The man has no clue how to handle the QB situation, through the media or behind the scenes

Rex said he will have a decision Tues night for Wed practice. My guess is the players know Tues . We find out right before practice Wed.

Agreed that he doesn't know what he's doing with the QB postion, bc I don't know if he can relate to an "offensive" field general.

What sucks for Mac, or Mark for that matter, is that Rex hasn't learned that this position is different than any other on the team. IMO, he needed to say who was starting last night & live with the consequences. The team needs to know.

For him not to say who it is, is saying no matter who it is, I am under-cutting his ability to lead.

It will be very hard to watch the game if Sanchez is starting. Not that I think GMac is the savior but at least he's a glimmer of hope. It will still be a hard read being the Jets do not really have anyone at the skill position. This will be a ground and pound game (AKA, like watching paint dry)...

I do believe Rex will make the switch.

Toally agree... and also agree with the Kellen about that rex being totally clueless ragarding the O after 4 years.  I watched the presser also and turned it off when he started to hedge...

At this point I am convinced he part of the problem not the solution but Woody has a Woody for this guy so he may stick...BUT if he goesback to MS all bets are off.
