I Believe
I believe that we will win out and make the playoffs as the number 6 seed.
I guess this can be the optimism thread to get some positive vibes into this forum.

Re: I Believe
Lol...... I'd love to agree. Unfortunately, I think that the probability of seeing this entire team play up to their true potential, for 5 straight games, and that being enough to get it done, are roughly the same as hitting the lottery - twice.

RE: I Believe
I believe we can. Haven't seen anything so far this year to make me believe we will. But, I'll be watching and cheering until the clock in the final game hits 0:00

Re: I Believe
I am all in, brother!!! I think that we just need a spark & a fire will spread. All those teams within two games of us don't have the mix of vets who've gone deep in the playoffs + youth who've been pressed into duty like we have...
that's a good mix. crazy to count us out!!!

Re: I Believe
To be honest, we should win all 5 games...and these are the types of games Sanchez generally performs well in. I hope you're right. Also, good article.

I guess this can be the optimism thread to get some positive vibes into this forum. Hmmm, if the Jets are the superior team in all 5 games, they have 5 chances to underperform, come out flat or simply make too many mistakes to win. I wouldn't take those odds and I'm not 100% that the Jets are better than the Cardinals or the Chargers right now.

RE: I Believe
If that did happen it would be the worse thing for this organization.....it would delude their minds into thinking they are "close" or on the right track...I dont believe they need to "blowit all up" and start from scratch, but I do believe they need a lot of personnel and management overhauling, which would be masked by a late season run against 5 HORRIBLE teams..and then a surefire quick playoff loss.

Prior to that game we had not beat new england at home since i believe 2001. Yes, that far back. 2009 Again - pick either the week 16 game @ indy or week 17 game v cincy. One got us into the playoffs (Wouldnt have been in without it) and the other put us in the driver seat (dont gimme the peyton was out crap, he played 2.5 quarters) 2010 - Ill give you that there doesnt seem to be many this year even in an 11-5 season. id say maybe the pitt game you mentioned, or the crazy comeback win v the texans at home that was the 3rd straight gritty 4 qtr come back by mark. 2011 - maybe the opener? shows how much that translated to

I could be wrong but I think that Sept 2000 game was the one where Bledsoe got knocked out. --------------------------------------------- --- HYATT wrote: wambam78 wrote:

Well, he's the Jets all time winningest coach (if that's a word)...and i actually expect us to win out. I know it sounds crazy, but the more I watch our oponnents (yes, I watched the rams vs cards game last week), the more I expect us to win all 5 games. Will we? I don't know. But I am surprisingly going into every game and expecting us to win. Now, if we go 9-7 and miss the play-offs...it sucks, because everyone likely keeps their jobs (including Sanchez) and this regime can say if we had Revis and Holmes we would have been better than 9-7 (I hate excuses) and with this momentum we're building towards next year. It just seems like we won't blow it up this spring (2013). Next spring seems more liklely...unfortunately.

The butt fumble will live on in infamy for the rest of our collective lives. Yeah, they could win out, but the chances are just as good (or better) that they lose out. Losers!

I kind of hope we do...but I don't think so. We're playing 5 teams that are about as good as the Rams (some worse than the rams). Chargers aren't good on the east coast and the Bills the last week of the season will just want the season to end, their pass D is awful, and we might be playing for an outside shot at a wildcard. I agree. We could lose all 5...I just don't think it'll happen.
