The season is over .
The Gianst will be lucky to win one more game, the way they are playing now I wouldn`t be surprissed if even the Rams or Lions beat the Giants.

RE: The season is over .
I was at the Skinz Iggles game and the Skinz D is 100% better than the Giants...hands down. It will be a battle for the basement in the NFC east. I have no idea how this team will play with Ross Canty and Boley but we have a D rated Safety group and the bottom of the barrel LBs in the league

yeah you guys get a little crazy when we lose, I still think the Giants will make the Playoffs and turn this season around, unfortunately we probably won't see any improvement until after the Bye Week

The past 3 games, we just didn't show up and didn't show any heart to win the game. If you don't get crazy after losses like this, then your not a true fan. If we loss just like the Jets did, i wouldn't care too much. But when we get totally out played and out coached in every aspect of the game for the past 3 weeks, you have to get mad at that.

Re: The season is over .
The giants suck period, theres no correcting this mistake for this season . Its 2006 all over again. Defense is slow to many suposed veterans but all I see is a use to be good now juss old players. AP has gotta go, yea yea he use to be good, not any more kids. Osi ither trade for picks or somthn cause he is such a premodonna, complains wants new contract but how can you ***** about your deal when you dont play for one. Danny Clark wow dont get me started on this but why did we get rid of Reggie Torbor?, or dont give Wilkinson a try, to get Clark????. F.!.!K. You would think because of what happen in the playoffs how the eagles beat us that we had a chip on our shoulder, but I guess i was wrong. Yes injuries hurt us from the begining, but you plan ahaead for this type of situations right?. EEHHH. Obviously not us. We have been dominated for the past 3 games not juss beat but dominated. Eli gets 1million per game almost and cant make a damn play. Put dame carr in allready this season is lost. You cant recover with scheduele that we have. Other teams smell a wounded dog, and that wounded dog is us.

RE: The season is over .
I can agree with that sentiment. My issue is this, I am already on blood pressure meds, and I'm not going to jeopardize my health for some guys who don't even try. Players AND Coaches. So I am not going to get stressed or bent out of shape about this team until they decide it's important to put forth the effort to compete and not embarrass their franchise and fans.

The season isn't over. Not when they are 5-3 halfway through it. But if they don't pick up their play soon the season will be over.

RE: The season is over .
Ital, I think it is over, but not because its too late. I think it is over because the defense can't cover anyone, can't tackle anyone, can't sack the quarterback and because the offense no longer has an identity (mostly due to facing large deficits 2 of the last 3 weeks).
This team just looks lost. But I think the defense is the primary cause of it. They are just getting smoked.
Good teams rely on their stars, Great teams rely on each other.

RE: The season is over .
If Osi, Tuck and Kiwi (who has actually played decently) can step up their game it will make a big difference on defense. Yes the Giants have issues in the secondary but the lack of penetration the D-Line is getting is what is killing them.

RE: The season is over .
can't get pressure if someone is always open, a few weeks ago we was blaming the Defensive Line, now I am starting to think that it is just poor coverage that is making this entire defense look bad

RE: The season is over .
It's the awful talent level of the linebackers that is killing this defense the most, IMO. When the Giants blitz, opposing QBs are hitting wide open TEs, RBs and slot receivers over the middle and there is no one even close to them. Same thing with screen passes. We blitz, and the QB just calmly dumps the ball off to a wide open receiver in the flat with absolutely no one around them. You look at any good defense team (Washington, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New England, Dallas) and you see fast, athletic linebackers all over the ball carrier. The Giants linebackers are honestly, IMO, the worst in the NFL. I really think that they are the worst. Boley is pretty good in coverage and pursuit and that makes him EXACTLY what we need. But you can't rely on one single linebacker to be your only good player. You need a couple of them. The Giants have ignored this position for years and years, basically ever since they went to a 4-3 defense back in the mid-90s. This HAS to be corrected. Real talent must be brought in whether its from free agency or high draft picks. Sintim was a bad pick, IMO, because he is purely a pass rusher. The Giants need guys who are fast and can cover and stuff the run. Forget pass rushing, that is for the ends to do. They also need another safety because Johnson is average at best, and Brown/Rouse are below NFL-quality.
Good teams rely on their stars, Great teams rely on each other.
