Watching the Seahawks makes me appreciate TC

Terrible game time coaching by the Seahawks. TC would have went for the 3 points instead of going 4th & 1 - 1st Qtr. Put some points on the board down 10. That was the difference in the game. There were other game time management mistakes by the Seahawks. Watching the Seahawks mistakes made me thank TC for all the games he knew what to do. Exciting game to watch though.

I dont think Atlanta beats the 49ers.

Collage coach... He'll learn. Kinda wanted the Seahawks but it was nice to see Sherman get his nose rubbed in it.
It would be nice to see Tony G win a Super Bowl, he would have been a great Giant.

Who says Tom Coughlin will not go for it under that circumstances. He certainly will in my opinion.

Re: Watching the Seahawks makes me appreciate TC

What a joke that game was.  You had Brian Billick suggesting that maybe the Seahawks kick a fg and try an onside kick under 1 minute left on their go ahead drive... Seahawks were down 6 Brian, also the onside kick isn't a high % play.  This must be why he isn't coaching, hopefully the Eagles decide to hire him... lol.  Then you had Mike Smith call a timeout with 13 seconds left to kick a fg when he could have ran it down to 3-4 seconds or at the very least make Seattle burn a timeout.  Then you have Pete Carroll argue with the official asking who called timeout to ice the kicker when replay clearly showed he did.  Some say he was upset about Bryant taking the practice kick but it really looked like he acted like nobody called a timeout.  Besides there is no penalty for taking a practice kick.  Then you have Atlanta botch a squib kick essentially setting up Seattle with great field position.  Iwouldn't feel good about playing the 49ers making those kind of mistakes.

I am not completely sold on Colin Kapernick just yet. In my opinion Seattle Seahawks and the Falcons have one of the best talented group of players. There is no doubt that the reason the game was close is because they are very talented. I wouldn't be too worried about San Francisco. Green Bay is a very flawed team. They have one of the worst defenses heading into the playoff gauntlet.

I think its 49ers vs Patriots Super Bowl.  Pats were my pick this season to win it but they just lost Gronk for the rest of the way.  49ers will win it all this year.  As for Kaepernick, he may have more risk than Alex Smith but his reward and ceiling are much higher too

Doubt it, IMVHO TC would take the 3.

But if he did go for it, which I doubt he would, he would do exactly what they did, run it! LOL rolleyes

Very poor coaching in that game. Rookie QB.

He sure would have, and the Giants had a chance at him just when they needed a tight end and did nothing, just like when they really needed a defensive back and Rhonde Barber was available, and likewise they did nothing. eek1eek1eek1

TC  the genius went for 3 4th and 1 inside 20 and did not kick field goal once  and did not get it once   ...read what you say and learn facts before the posting of misinformation  sheesh

Instead they gave the big money to a broken down Jason Sehorn...who took it and ran to the bank. Please don't remind me...

Yep.......the ATlanta game TC coached was probably one of his worst as a Giants HC.

I am equally happy for Tony Gonzalez.    He was a big reason the Falcons snuck past the Seahawks in this game.   Incredible comeback by the Seahawks, in spite of their first half digressions.   That game turned into a lot of fun.   I'm happy for the Falcons.....at the end of the day.     Although.....their run may come to an end next week.

RE: Watching the Seahawks makes me appreciate TC

I to am glad for TG...guy can catch him

I like the games so far...back and forth
back and forth...Big leads...lose lead..

Nail Biters.

Couldn't believe Falcons almost lost..and
Ravens win...unbelievable on the miss angle
for the bomb pass and I thought our secondary
was terrible on the long pass.

Yeah...TC missed on all those 4 and short's...lol
and that was regular season. You'd think going
for it in the playoffs weren't as important.

Another misinformed post: The Giants didn't "do nothing" as you claim. They actually made it very clear to Pioli that they wanted to make a trade. Instead, Pioli made a trade with his very dear friend and protege Dimitroff (both of the Browns and Patriots together). But don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant!

Funny, I thought the Safety who blew his Cover 2 responsibility on a 75 yard BOMB when the Broncos were up 7 with 31 seconds left in the game and the Ravens at it's own 25...was the one who FROZE.

Up till then, Fox had the game well in hand.

Didn't that safety admit he was trying to play "hero" on that play by trying to make the interception instead of playing deep like he was supposed to?

Re: Watching the Seahawks makes me appreciate TC

Seattle just like Denver showed it "Ain't over 'til it's over" how do you let Ryan complete those passes with ease , when you have  contained him for nearly all the entire second half.
Play scared and lose just like the time out before the F.G try these coaches never learn icing defeat instead of victory playing not to lose.
Brilliant come back then a brain fart.
However the Giants have had their fair share of playing not to lose and then gone on to lose a "won" game with a placid defense calls
Whatever mistakes Seattle made in the game with 31 secs left they were winning 28-27 until once again let's play safe .
Those that don't learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them and at times it seems the entire NFL head coaches brigade never seem to learn that simple fact.
