I'm rooting for the Irish, but it will be a tough win to pull out.
Already 7-0 Alabama

Te'o is seeing his stock drop already.
Easily blocked twice with runs right up the middle and a blown coverage.

LOL @ the Giants fans that wanted to draft Teo.

Sometimes the stage is too big.......and sometimes you have to be on that stage to know what it's about. Notre Dame is learning a hard lesson tonight. Too bad....I was hoping they'd slow Bama down.....but it hasn't happened, and there is no way they come back in this one.
They just need to play more solid in the second half and make this look more respectable.

Easy with the Heisman comparisons Musberger. Manzell does WAY more than McCarron. plus, McCarron SHOULD be a playing well....he has 8 seconds to throw the ball to whomever he wants. And he has terrific athletes to throw to. So I don't want to be kissing his ring right away........get a grip Brent.

Can we trade the Giants' OL for Bama's? I was thinking the same thing about the Bama defense. With the exception of the Texas A&M game this year and a couple of clunkers here and there, Alabama's defense has been dominant and tough over the last 4-5 years. The DL is exceptional, but the Linebackers (Mosely in particular) have been all over the field. Saban built Bama the way a team should be built... OL and DL. He also happened to tap into the best football talent in SEC country. In college football everything is about recruiting. Right now, every High School football player in the South wants to come to Alabama and play for Saban...

No question. Saban will have his pick of recruits again this year. Anyone worth looking at would be stupid not to look to play at Alabama or in the SEC for that matter. It's a NFL talent producing factory down south. That is seven straight titles for the SEC now in NCAA football and I don't see how any team outside of the SEC will win next year.

..is it over yet?
We gotta wonder if 40 days off hurt the Irish and helped the Bama?
give me 40 days off and i can get lazy
Bama was frothing at the mouth with something to prove, when it should have been those Irishmen with something to prove.

Honestly......I'm not sure they've really produced that much out-sized talent in the NFL lately, compared to what kind of talent they attract. Although......2 or 3 guys off that OL could be next. Ingram might be better on a different team. That kid Lacy looks pretty good too. Plus....Saban can be a megalomaniac at that college and get away with it. His control freak stuff won't pass in the NFL.....unless he just gets bored or annoyed at the college level and feels like he will need more. However.....in the future......the Urban Meyer's at OSU and even Texas A&M will start giving this guy a run for his money. It's a terrific accomplishment and terrific program Saban has put together. We'll see if it can maintain for a long time.

Bama was frothing at the mouth with something to prove, when it should have been those Irishmen with something to prove. Def didn't hurt giving those behemoths a month off. That.....and Notre Dame just is not as talented as we all would have liked to think. They deserved to be in the game.....but they got outclassed. Hopefully the Notre Dame can build off of this and continue attracting good athletes into the program.
