OK, Eddie, if you're all in I can do no less!

I feel like Natalie Wood near the end of "Miracle on 34th Street" (probably because we just saw it), where she sits listlessly in the car intoning "I believe, I believe" in a flat,
lifeless voice.

Until a miracle happens!
And so, I wait to yell out, "Uncle Fred, stop the car!"

Faithful Giants fan from 1967 - to whenever the Reaper comes a' callin'!

I'll be in front of my TV watching b/c I can't help myself.   Don't know if that qualifies as all in.    Don't want to be a downer to an upper thread.......but I just don't think the same magic is in the locker room this year Eddie.

And beating the Eagles would prob not make me feel much differently.  The good news for us is Andy Reid is allergic to calling run plays......so we might luck out in this one.

Although, I could see us beating the Packers again in Green Bay.......but I'm not sure we have anything for San Fran, Atlanta, or even Seattle if they find a way to win their division.

Re: Roll Call - Who's ALL-IN Sunday?

The problem isn't the fans being all in it's that I believe several of the players have decided this season is over already and will be looking to end it without having to spend the off season on crutches. I'm not expecting a lot of effort out of this crew especially if the get behind early say 14-0.

I love my Giants but I have seen enough..  I will record it since we are having company Sunday.  No sense in them having to see me at my worst if the GMen do not show up again.  I have convinced myself to be thankful for 2 of the last 5 years.  Go GMen

I do not expect any miracle runs this year..

I'm all in. I just don't think the other teams are all in as far as losing this Sunday to help us get into the playoffs.

Re: Roll Call - Who's ALL-IN Sunday?

For the past few seasons, the Eagles have been b i t ch slapping the Giants around and the Giants just seem to wilt against them. Vick is showcasing himself for a new job on Sunday and the Eagles would also love nothing more than to ruin any chance we have at making the post season. With those 2 factors involved, and knowing how soft this team has been lately, I would be shocked if they win. Nevertheless, I'll be tuned in at 1pm and ready to go.

They won the first ever game against the "Dream Team"  Victor Cruz first start.  Amazing how people forget

Re: Roll Call - Who's ALL-IN Sunday?

Eddie I'm right there with you bro if for no other reason than we'll truly learn more about this team's make-up from the coaches on down.

We need aggressive game plans on both sides of the ball to start with.  We need players playing as a unit and while being accountable for their assignments, helping out where needed.

If we put 30 on the board, pressure Vick into a couple of turnovers and win going away and we don't make the playoffs maybe the players will learn you can't just flick the switch as the season winds down and your window starts closing.

If we get down early it'll be interesting how we respond.  These guys shouldn't get caught up in any of the Andy Reid / Michael Vick hype.  They should come out and put an old fashioned 60 minute whipping on the Eagles and then watch the other games like we will knowing whatever happens they have no one to blame but themselves.

I'm torn between hoping for a 4 or 5 game winning streak or that we go home beating the Eagles and the coaches and players using any hurt or disappointment they feel to reinvigorate themselves so we don't have a repeat in 2013.

No matter what happens though I'm a Giants fan first and foremost the only thing that changes is if I continue to root for them the next few weeks or start looking at who we might draft.

I was referring to the fact that since 2008 the Eagles have beaten the Giants 8 times out of 10 during the regular season.

Lets get it done. This team looked just as bleak last year after losing to the Redskins for the 2nd time. I never expected their run and I have no reason to expect another one, which is exactly why I haven't given up yet!

RE: Roll Call - Who's ALL-IN Sunday?

I'll be all in on Sunday win or lose. And again next year and beyond until they cart my sorry a$$ out of the door. But man, what a golden opportunity we had this year.
Running Vick and Reid out of Philly would at least be something to hang our hats on for next years' struggle.
The post mortem on this season will drag on for weeks until the draft gets close. Even if we get in, I can't conjure the same juju as last year. Something about this year's roster has soured. The team read a collective too many of their own press clippings from last year and just fell flat at the end. Will the win Sunday? Who the heck knows. But that never stopped me for rooting in the past, and sure as heck won't stop me on Sunday.

And before I leave the office and shun the computer for several days, may I wish all a very Happy New Year and many splendid days for 2013. After all, we all know there is much to enjoy, even when our men in blue lay an egg. So laugh and be happy, and be of good cheer, we'll play hard on Sunday, and get'em next year!

RE: Roll Call - Who's ALL-IN Sunday?

Im always all in, thats why it hurts sometimes with the Giants. But regardless of it, 1st we gotta win , and that isnt gonna be easy, because we never make it easy on ourselves. then rooting for the lions, pack and 'skins. (im starting to get sick, i think i just vurped, yuk)

well rooting for someone in the 'boys -skins game could be worse.....we mightve had to root for the cowpukes. then the vurp would be full projectiles...sorry for the graphics...but .

in any case. still wearing my SB46 champ shirt until our last game, hope its not sunday so im all in.
