Goodbye Allie. Goodbye TC...
...and by TC. I also mean KG and PF. Sorry TC, but you have to go, so KG and PF also go.
I realize that coaches don't play the game, but they are to blame when they create complicated schemes that are beyond the mental ability or will of our players to recognize and execute.
Be assured that we have plenty of, overpriced under performing, players that also need to go.
Everything broke perfectly last season for the Giants and blinded us to the team's fundamental mediocrity. That combined with a killer schedule and an an attempt to repeat the magic with chewing gum and duct tape roster moves have led us to our present predicament.
It is time to clean house, thank TC for his service, and tell him to enjoy his retirement.

I do agree that he needs to make changes to his staff. It might get interesting around here, what if JR demands he fire Gilbride or Fewell. With two SB rings I don't see TC tolerating being forced to do something against his will. Like I said it might get very interesting around here.

TC's team is not even showing up.

RE: Goodbye Allie. Goodbye TC...
Sweet Lord...and so it begins. Fire everybody because we didn't win the Superbowl AGAIN this year. The NFL is built for parity and anyone who thinks the fastest path back to the top is to 'clean house' is crazy. We have an excellent franchise QB and a very good set of weapons for him to work with. We have some good pieces on defense as well. Yes, JR may need to make some tough decisions on some long standing but declining players in the offseason. The draft will also be as important as ever. Tom Coughlin is one of the best in the business and he works well with Jerry Reese (who I also think highly of). This league is built to create parity...we won't win it every year. We may not win it again for some time. That said, I will put my chips in with TC and JR.

Tom Coughlin has one two Super Bowls for us. How soon we forget. The man deserves a chance to try and win us a third one. Now, as much as Gilbride makes me shake my head sometimes, he too deserves a pass. He has been the OC through two Super Bowl victories so he can't be that bad. As for Perry Fewell, he needs to go. He can't adjust in game and the defense has gotten worse since he came here.

RE: Goodbye Allie. Goodbye TC...
key players of yonder need to be and will be replaced. tuck, osi, bradshaw to start...thank you and NYG to move on and replace them...and then add to the list .
these guys will always be remembered and revered , but theyre now old or hurt and time doesnt wait on any man.
of course practice squad and guys on the roster who dont start , but play as backups, specials etc. they will, as with all nfl teams come and go through mostly free agency.
But key players of past championship years is where change needs to take place.
and if younger guys cant get past their chronic injuries, the cord has got to be cut on these guys too.

Re: Goodbye Allie. Goodbye TC...
The one thing that I admire most about the Giants as an orginazation is their stability. From ownership on down. They don't overreact to a bad season by cleaning house and making wholesale changes. I expect the same this season. I am not in love with PF. In-game adjustments seem to be a the weak spot of this entire coaching staff. But overall, I think the problems with the D may be more a product of injuries and declining play of veterans in key positions. Tuck is a shell of his former self. Osi has more or less always been a one trick poney. JPP is still learning, and will now have to learn how to still be effective when double teamed all the time. Had the Giants had another effective edge rusher opposite JPP then teams wouldnt have been as likely to double as much. Ultimately I would like to see JPP/Kiwi as your starters and give Ojomo and Tracy some reps. I think you can afford to lose Tuck and Osi. I think its also important to take a very close look at the secondary and their inability to stay healthy. Need to figure out who stays and who goes (Webster&KP)? Is Hosely going to take the next step in his 2nd season? Will Prince be a lockdown number 1 or is his ceiling a solid 2? I think of all the positions on the team, CB is the thinnest and the biggest problem. The Giants shouldnt have to have a top 5 pass rush to hide all the problems in the secondary. The minute the Giants stopped getting to the QB their entire D fell apart. And lets not even talk about the LB corp.
Killdrive drives me crazy. Incomplete on 1st down: I guarentee he calls an off tackle run for 2 yards. 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 21 they are in shotgun. If I were TC I would fine Killdrive 10k for every shotgun draw he calls. The O-line is a mess. Snee is getting long in the tooth and seems more dinged up with each passing season. Baas is average at best. Diehl?...moving right along, Boothe and Locklear were the only bright spots this season. The Giants need a solid 3rd WR. I really like Dixon. I think he could be the one but I am not sure the Giants feel the same. I hope Randle ends up taking the next step in season 2. If he does then WR will be fine. Providing of course that Nicks finds a way to stay healthy. Another year of multiple games missed and playing at 70% and the Giants will need to think about letting him go. What to do with Ahmad? Do you hand the reigns over to Wilson and keep Ahmad and split the carries to keep Ahmad healthy? Does he agree to this? If not do you cut ties with him and bring in a veteran that doesnt mind playing behind Wilson? Either way I think you have to look at Wilson as being the primary back going forward. Bottom line, shore up the line and RB position and let Eli take care of the rest. AND NO MORE SHOTGUN DRAWS!!!! YOU GOT THAT, KILLDRIVE?!?!?!?
And as far as TC is concerned. He is fine in my book. I think he needs to learn to give rookies a little more playing time. As a rookie you are going to make some mistakes out there. I think they need to play through them. Not be terrified as a rookie if you make one mistake then you are out of the game for god knows how long. TC needs to take a look around the league and look how rookies are coming in and making an impact. And dont tell me how Ahmad had to wait his turn when he was a rookie. Correct me if I am wrong but I think he was a 7th round pick? Wilson is a 1st rounder and its my understanding that most 1st rounders play immediately. Thats why they are first rounders. The biggest concern I have is that the players may be starting to tune TC out. The message may be starting to get lost, or stale or whatever. The inconsistant play is maddening and I am not sure if this is due to the players tuning TC out. It seems to happen to a lot of coaches that stay in one place for a number of years. TC may want to coach until he is 90. Not sure if the players ultimately want to listen to him that long.
My rambling is now over.

Allie is only about 20 years older than TC. Perhaps he deserves another chance.

Many of our players are past their prime, physically and mentally. Smell the coffee. Oh look! My first Christmas Present. Our GM and Coach are not as insanely over reactive as some of our fan base. Believe me, I am quite awake and aware that this team needs to add some pieces. Point to the team that doesn't. I think it is pretty impressive that you have played so many years in the NFL that you can tell that the team 'has quit and is an embarrassment' just by watching them from the comfort of your fan-seat. Perhaps...just perhaps....they are dealing with some players the decline, some players that are hurt, and a league where the other guys get paid to win too. Seriously, I am not dilusional. C-Web clearly has seen his best days as have Snee, Diehl, Tuck. Most of our LB corps never been outstanding to begin with. I am just advocating for a more measured approach to patching the holes than 'fire everyone'. Leave that kind of crap to the Cardinals, Chiefs and Bengals.

If you think Kildrive isnt that bad then answer this: Why doesnt he get any head coaching consideration from other NFL teams?

You can't sit on your laurel's of winning a SB and expect that you just get paid more but the performance HAD peaked and they aren't in any hurry to repeat. It's all about the money now...not the attitude on the field. Tuck and Osi are gone. Snee and Diehl are gone. Ahmad...gone...his blitz blocking has sucked last 2 weeks he's played and has NO burst to hit the line. Webster has been terrible since first game of the season.
Bright spots...Kicking..Hill...Brown...JPP Nicks must stay Cruz...doubled...so we need another threat. Randle better rise next year. Bennett...we keep..good man and has turned into a go-to
We MUST unload...and RELOAD...no jerking around otherwise we'll go 5-11 next year.

--------------------------------------------- Amen to that, What really worries me is Jerry Reese, what is he going todo, will he sit on his butt and do nothing in the offseason like he always does? Is he going to throw away money by picking up free agents from the free agent dump? This will be a very interesting off season for Reese, this time tough decisions have to be made for the good of the team but if time has shown me something is that we can expect the same crap from Reese again, more useless free agents that will spend more time on IR or on the bench, Killdrive and his horrendous playcalling and Johnny Lynn 2.0 looking lost like a mouse in a maze. If Reese doent roll up his sleeves and gets down to seriuos bussiness we all can expect the same roller coaster season and 5-11 will become a reality.

The only worse thing than this post was the attempt to hand the ball off to Czonka -- the most embarrassing moment ever at Giants Stadium. TC has earned the right to stay as long as he wants.

No nearly the embarrassment that some of the fans have become.
