And my first thought is that Giants beating the Iggles is the least likely of those 3 things to happen

And see this performance in the playoffs. No thank you. Besides we would have to beat the eahles and thats not happening. Id sooner see them lose by 30 and see fewell along with multiple players released.

The Giants only have two ways to get in. The both involve the Bears and Seahawks to lose.
If Dallas win, they also need the Vikings to lose. In this scenrio, three NFCEast teams make it in.

Why are we even doing this to ourselves? We blew it, and that's that. If it makes you all feel better to generate one-in-a-million scenarios, do so, but done is done. It never should have come to this in the first place. Now we have nothing.

You are right but if Seattle wins tonight the Giants are done. rookie7 wrote:

You should take a reality pill. I'm so disappointed in this team and it's poor effort I can't begin to describe it. It's almost a rule of thumb that if you have to depend on another team, and worse, several other teams, to let you graciously back in to the playoffs, you can forget it. Been around too long for this crap.

The giants will not beat the fecals next week. They scored more points today against the redskins then the giants have in the last two weeks. If you listen real close you can hear the fat lady singing.

I wish I could be a rah-rah rose-tinted glasses type of fan, but I just can't. The fact is, this team is performing like SH*T from top to bottom and that's how I see it. If they get into the playoffs only to get totally outclassed like they have been the past 2 weeks, where is the enjoyment in that?

If missing the playoffs mean the firing of Perry fewell, reducing wester's role, and finally spending some good picks on Olinemen, then I hope we lose against philly.

I could live with that on the principle that if our opponent is good enough to dethrone the champs in January so be it. I'd rather have it that way other than a vacated title due to us missing the playoffs (My sports title lesson learned from boxing and WWF wrestling in the early 1990's) I could live with that also due to the fact that Roger Goodell's NFL will never see a repeat champion. In fact this franchise is the only one to win it twice during his tenure unless the Colts or Packers win this upcoming one. 2 in 5 years after 0 in all my fanhood of all my favorite teams leading up to 2007 is more than I could've hoped for.

Re: all we have to do is beat Philly...
With Seattle winning, the only way in for us is:
* Giants win * Washington win * Chicago loss (to Detroit) * Minnesota loss (to GB)
Not going to happen.
