Had to jump a Vikings "fan" tonight
So my wife and I went out for some beers and food and we're sitting at the bar.....I overheard a dude saying "I'd rather have Peterson break the record than the Vikings winning"
I turned around and just layed into him. I made a huge scene in the place, people were staring and I was just giving him the business, I said how the hell can you call yourself a Vikings fan, what is wrong with you man? I ripped him apart for like 10 minutes and the bartender had to tell me to settle down. I almost got kicked out of the place. My wife was less than impressed and really embarrassed.
Bleed purple for life brothers.......tommorow is going to be epic. I want a win bad.

Re: Had to jump a Vikings "fan" tonight
Scenario 1: AD gets 50 yards, Vikes beat Green Bay and lose in first round of playoffs next week. Scenario 2: AD breaks all time rushing record, Vikes lose and miss playoffs. Not let me ask you, what will fans more likely remember about the 2012 season 10 years from now? Maybe longer. Not saying I agree with the guy because all I want is for the Vikes to win a superbowl. But for fans who don't think this team is ready for a playoff run, AD getting the record will be remembered for a long time. Fuggin' A, bro...I wouldn've had your back in that bar, no question. I get wanting AD to get the record...but I want him getting it by breaking big runs that help the team go to 10-6 and the postseason. Some wives just don't get some guy moments. 'Tis the way of things. No, it's just stupid. It's not a 'guy' moment, it's a dumb@ss moment. --------------------------------------------- --- Zanary wrote: Fuggin' A, bro...I wouldn've had your back in that bar, no question. Re: Had to jump a Vikings "fan" tonight
Honest to god's truth....if Peterson runs for 1 yard tommorow and the Vikings win I'll be the happiest Viking fan on the face of the earth.
Records are nice........but I watch the Vikings to get the wins. I love to win. I'm a competetive SOB.
And it was probably an A hole move jumping that dude but I dont care.

What's important is that the team's virtue was upheld. I will sleep better knowing this.

It's a "fan" moment. KV demonstrated that he was more of a team fan than a single player fan, and more than a stats fan. I see no "dumb@ss" moment here, whatsoever. StickyBun wrote: No, it's just stupid. It's not a 'guy' moment, it's a dumb@ss moment.
