Re: ***Official Vikings @ Packers Game Day Thread
I wish we had the early game too. The night game just extends the hype that "Team Erin Rodgers" gets. The Vikes get so little air time or any respect...it's all about Erin and the Packers. You wouldn't even know the Vikes were playing them if it wasn't for the crawler across the bottom of the screen letting you know. I think half the media will hang themselves today of the Pack don't win.
Don't get me wrong, I like that we are the underdogs but I might need to unplug till game time because I've been watching NFLN for 10 minutes now and I'm already sick of seeing Erin's TD dance.
It's game day ladies and gentlemen! Finally!

I guess Im the opposite, I like it when we get no respect, its not like the experts effect anything, in any way. Im not confident we'll win, but I prefer this kind of media coverage heading into the game vs us getting all the attention the Packers are getting. Ultra VF wrote: I wish we had the early game too. I dont think ANY of us Vikings fans want the early game because it poses an advantage one way or the other, but because we want the game to get here already. Calm down Scooter. StudioFiftyFour wrote:

You guys are just whiners! If it was the early game, you'd claim that there was a network bias against the Vikings playing in primetime.
Now that they actually are playing in primetime... there's still a network bias because they're playing the Packers.
So what exactly do you want? An Vikings intra-squad scrimmage being televised on Saturday night in primetime?!?

Re: ***Official Vikings @ Packers Game Day Thread
I ragged on Ponder and wanted him benched earlier this season, but when Skip Bayless dropped the stat that Ponder's last game was the highest QB rating Green Bay has allowed in 2 years, plus 3 straight games with no turnovers, I am really starting to see progress and confidence. Which is a good sign seeing the Vikes have limited talent at WR. The 2013 offseason needs to be about building a wicked play action offense and get a new MLB. Brinkley gets me burned on Madden all the time. He needs to lose more weight.

Not that I don't want to make a deep playoff run but this year has been so fun to watch its almost all gravy at this point. Such low expectations and now we see something to build on. Frazier has a chance to build a great team. I'm excited to see where we make improvements in the off season.
Key to today's game is our pass rush. We can't let Arodge sit back there and bomb it.

Even though NFL.com shows no inactive players for either Team...
Ponder is indeed inactive. http://www.nfl.com/inactives

Re: ***Official Vikings @ Packers Game Day Thread
Webb is starting... I don't even know what to think now.
If he plays good it might change his career, but first start of the year is the wild card playoff game at Green Bay????
That is a tough hill to climb for anyone.
This game is going to be epic or an abismal fail.

This is awesome! Hope the Vikes are loose...they should be because all the pressure is on GB. No one picks the Vikes to win, on the road and now going with the back up at Q! This is brewing into a great storyline.

RE: ***Official Vikings @ Packers Game Day Thread
One hit on Rodgers by JA or Robison, and the QB position turns into a plus for us. With that god aweful line, AR could be running for his life yet again.
I hope AR stays healthy, cause rubbing in this win without that excuse is going to be even more fun.

Re: ***Official Vikings @ Packers Game Day Thread
This is one of the most interesting wrinkles in an NFL playoff game ever, IMO.. Hats off to Frazier and Co for the way they played it all. A definate surprise to all, Packer included Im sure. If your back up has to start, its best that it is a total surprise.
