Key Dates:

July 22: Signing Period ends for Unrestricted Free Agents to whom a June 1 Tender was made by Old Club. Old Club has exclusive negotiating rights to these players until the Tuesday after the 10th regular-season weekend. (* or the first scheduled day of the first NFL training camp, whichever is later.)

July 22: Deadline for transition players to sign with new clubs.

Late July: Training camps across the league begin.

Aug. 4: Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony

August 5: Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, Canton, Ohio.

August 7: Deadline for players under contract to report to their clubs to earn an Accrued Season for free agency.

August 7: If a drafted rookie has not signed with his club by this date, he cannot be traded to any other club in 2012, and may sign a player contract only with the drafting club until the day of the NFL Draft in the 2013 League Year.

August 9-13: First preseason weekend.

August 16-20: Second preseason weekend.

August 23-26: Third preseason weekend.

Aug. 28: Roster cutdown to 80 players

August 30-31: Fourth preseason weekend.

Sept. 2: Roster cutdown to 53 players.

September 5, 9-10: Kickoff 2012 Weekend.
