Vegas Line vs. Rams... Miami -3

Well....Miami is a 3 point favorite over St. Louis this weekend. This week we need 30+ points on the board, just because.

Against the coach who turned us down.

Be nice to have another edge pass rusher to complement Wake.

Long snapper is a huge plus.

You gotta believe Carpenter is on a short hook and his room for error is zero.

I hate that our kicker sucks right now. I remember Pete Stoyanovich and Olinde Mare and not being worried at all when they came onto the field. Feeley was a good kicker too and Carpenter was a guy I was pretty confident could nail the tough kicks but definately not now. As much as Carpenter turns my stomach when he runs out I remember Joe Nedney too. Hopefully Carp can get through this slump and we don't have to go in search of a new kicker.

I hope you are right. Unless Reggie returns to early season form, we lack the big play ability.
A dependable FG kicker is a must.

Mare and Stoyanovich both got the boot for similar bad spurts as Carpenter is going through..

Hey i loved Olindo over here but it is a very short leash that kickers have.. One bad season and you can be assured your job is history..  I would stick with carpenter, the guy has a great leg and usually pretty good accuracy. I want to give him more then 5 games into the season to rebound..

Seriously though, you guys have no right to expect 50 plus yarders to be automatic, i think we are a little spoiled with our kicker.

its not just from over 50 yards or this season is it!!! Carpenter is 29/46 (63%) from over 40+ yards since the start of 2010...

2012= 1/4
2011= 13/16
2010= 15/26

He is 6/13 (46%) on over 50+ yards since 2010 start...
He is 23/33 (70%) from 40-49 yards since 2010 start...

i have zero confidence in our kicker over 40 yards ! his time is nigh, if it wasnt for his $2.5m contract he would be gone!

we are spoiled =laugh! i expect far more than those stats!!
i guess you dont ?

anyway

Dolphins win today. It's a game they SHOULD win. But we know how those games tend to turn out.

dolphins 23 -rams 17 [fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!]

Looks like even that beast kicker from the Rams can have terrible games.. He missed a 37 yarder..  You know what i bet they arent trying to sign billy cundiff to replace him this week.eek1 Seriously who do you want to sign to replace him?

Apples in oranges IMO. The Rams kicker is a rookie who barely missed a 66 yarder. Also a 50 yard FG from a supposed Pro Bowl caliber kicker is not too much to ask.
