Ginn playing with practice squad

Maybe this will light a fire, but if you read the whole article he dropped the pass.  LOL

"Once in a great, great while, a 10 year-old comes along to play with the philharmonic orchestra, and once in a great, great while, a Dan Marino comes along to throw the football.  You can't explain why.  You just watch in amazement."

His confidence is plummeting.  He's going to have to find a way to fight out of this funk because 'babying' him isn't working.  It's all on him now.

I'm surprised Camarillo isn't starting with Hartline.  Bess is the only receiver who's yards per catch have gone down since Henne became the starter.

camarillo doesn't get enough love...he's dependable and gets open and runs pretty good routes plus he's a willing run blocker.

I agree.  He's a lot like Welker when Welker was here in the fact that he keeps getting overlooked for some reason.

With the exception of his mind-numbing-drive-killing illegal forward pass, I like what I have seen from Camarillo.  Hard to believe his knee injury was a little over a year ago.

I heard that was a questionable call.

I can't believe people are questioning Davone Bess as a starter.

Do you realize how many NFL teams Bess would start for?

You can't tell me that when they throw that quick hitch to Bess that your heart's not racing.

You just know he's gonna break one.

When he finally breaks one then I'll get excited when he catches the ball.

Name the teams he starts for.

RE: Ginn playing with practice squad

With reports here and there at ESPN.com and Profootballtalk.com and miamiherald.com speculating whether Ted Ginn Jr. has lost his starting job or playing time or his blankie, I figured it's time to cut to the chase and ask coach Tony Sparano whether Ginn has, in fact, lost his starting job or not?

"No. Well, we'll see where we are at the end of the week," Sparano said. "Right now I'm kind of upsetting the entire apple cart and let's see where this thing goes. I don't want to say 'Yes,' I don't want to say, 'No' right now."

The Dolphins on Wednesday basically began a WR tryout with each of the five wideouts given a chance to earn playing time and their starting jobs for Sunday's game versus the Jets.

"Today we went in there and said, 'Let's let it fly and we got five guys in there playing this position so let's let them all work and we'll go from there.' "

And that basically means practice, more than anything else, will determine what receivers -- Ginn, Greg Camarillo, Davone Bess, Brian Hartline, Patrick Turner -- you'll see get the most work versus New York.

"It always does," Sparano said. "It really does. It always does from my end. In my mind we have five players at that position and at the end of the week, we see where it goes."

So much for all the speculation.

You realize the trade deadline has passed about 2 weeks ago, or did you miss the memo on that.

If this strategy works out great, im hesitant i dont see many deep passes being completed and teams are going to start stacking the box like the san diego game.

Bench ginn if you want but without that speed every defense is going to be coming.

Our only hope is that hartline can catch a deep ball and keep them honest. Wasnt hartline ginns backup at ohio state?

You guys might like this move but i really dont. rolleyes

Hopefully this is just a move to get him motivated because gameplanning against us without ted ginn out there is going to be easy.

Get your most physical corner playing hartline, get your quickest CB to play bess, Play the safetys close to the box  against screens , Shadow fasano with one linebacker, and send the house.

You do realize that Hartline has the longest play from scrimmage of all the receiver right?  Hartline is not a weak, scrawny WR where a physical corner is going to shut him down.  Have you watched the kid play?  He uses his agility and acceleration to get separation and he uses his hands extremely well to get off the jam.  He is 6'2" and 195 lbs., bigger than any receiver we have save Patrick Turner who can't get active.

I like Hartline but he gets popped for Offensive Pass Interference a lot though.  But he definately has a bright future but again doesn't look like more than a #2.  We need a number one.
