Earl Morrall passes away

Just received ESPN alert on my phone that he has passed. Sad to hear. 79 yrs old.

'72 was my first year old enough to follow football an the Fins have been my team everyday since then. remember Bob going out on the stretcher and Earl coming in and continuing the perfecto!

R.I.P.

Dude just walked on the field in 72 like it was no big deal. The original Don Strock before being Don Strock was cool.

Re: Earl Morrall passes away

Earl Morrall never really got the credit he deserved in 1972. I'd bet many people don't even know he won most of the '72 games. I was really unhappy with Shula's decision to go back to Griese because the team was on such a roll and changing QBs was a scary idea, but the end results made history and helped carry Shula to the HOF. I'm glad the old coach recognizes that Earl Morrall helped put him there.
